Great staff

I was a former student here and I graduated 4 years ago from Mary Hopkins, the staff there aren’t properly trained, not all of the staff were bad but most of them weren’t properly trained and they don’t care about people getting bullied. There were people already experiencing with mental health issues when I was there and it was because of bullying. The staff is always treating some people unfairly and they always pick favourites. The staff don’t even listen to the mental health issues that 3rd graders were having and they don’t even care. The school even goes up to grade 5 so no kid from jk-grade 5 should experience mental health. The school also isn’t properly cleaned . The janitors try their hardest to clean as much as they could but people still mess it up. I would not recommend this school and I would not send my kid to that school. Thank you for reading.

This school is terrible, specifically the staff and products, not all staff are bad but most of them are, I got yelled at a teacher for giving someone crayons and made me sit in front of the class for no absolute reason, personally when I was there I always got good marks until it came to my report card. They gave me a VERY hard time, and don’t care about the people that are getting bullied, have terrible condition, and always chooses favourites, lastly they teach you nothing whatsoever, so in my experience I would never let your kid go to Mary Hopkins. This might be really personal and critical but it’s the truth.

It has average staff good education and fun recess but canceled recess every time it raind

Went to this school 2009-2014, before the ugly cube building. Back when the wooden pole/sign that was so faded you couldn't begin to comprehend it's ancient texts. We used to throw snowballs at it and cheer when one of us would finally connect with it. I remember running around the portapacks back when they were yellow before the water damage took them out of commission. I was one of two bandits, that plastered the boys downstairs bathrooms (next to the gym) with wet, soup filled paper towel balls. We didn't get very far into our crime spree as we were caught within ten minutes of starting. Embarrassed and upset for getting caught, we cleaned our mess and resumed class.This school brought great memories for me. I never suffered bullying though back in my time, so I cannot comment on the current affairs to a deep extent. I have however has had a sister who went to this school who only after months of in person discussions with our mother, and a pointed comment was the bullying addressed to any degree.Overall I wouldn't trade my time here for anything and it's saddening to see kids have their early developmental years be plagued by poor handling of bullying.Shout out the old art teacher Ms Taylor.
