Amazing food! Amazing service! This was my first time at Northern Chicken and it did not disappoint. The chicken was the crispiest and tastiest I’ve ever had in my life! The Dorito Mac and Cheese was life changing and the smashed potatoes were unbelievably good! We had the buttermilk pie for desert and I can’t believe how delicious such a simple thing can be. Every moment of my visit was amazing. I can’t wait to go back! Don’t miss out on eating at this Gem of a place!

The cornbread was dripping in honey and butter. As I bit into it I could hear my doctor chiding me for my excess in my future appointment. It was soooo good though. The chicken is very crispy and moist inside. The corn hole were cooked to perfection with a dip that was pleasantly spicy. Make sure to get the cornbread!It is bad news to find somewhere this delicious this close to my house.

Great local spot! Huge, delicious portions. Local beer on tap and super friendly service. Have ordered take out and table service here; great service each time.

Came here for lunch, the chicken was super tender and juicy, and the smashed potato’s were awesome! If I had to point anything out it’d be the coleslaw isn’t anything special. Other than that I had a good meal here.

Chef you’ve outdone yourself once again. I said in my tweet I was bringing nothing but my appetite and credit card. This wasn’t exactly correct. I brought a buddy and introduced him to the best fried chicken North of Gus’s. I’m happy to report that you have a new customer.The chicken was as juicy and tender as ever but the coating was [insert chef’s kiss emoji here]. My appetite was more than satisfied and so was that of the other fried chicken lovers that I brought the extra 10 pieces home for.Sorry about the photo…should have a made a proper one.

We came to Northern Chicken to try some fried chicken. There was a sign when you walked in saying go order at the counter. We ordered 6 pieces of mustard, 6 pieces of hot and garlic smashed potatoes for 2 people. We had 4 pieces for leftovers. The mustard was a sauce based chicken and enjoyable if you like Dijon mustard. The hot was a dry rub based. Some pieces were very flavourful and others were just flavourful. I preferred the mustard while my husband preferred the hot. The garlic smashed potatoes were delicious, wonderfully garlic filled!Vibe of the place was pleasant and staff was friendly. We will be back.

Ate here for the first time with 3 others, everyone got something different and everyone was very happy and satisfied. Food was great! Staff was friendly and helpful. Music was a little to loud for my liking but that would be the only thing I say that negative. Will definitely come here again

Chill atmosphere. Great place to hang out on a warm day and have some great food and drinks.Chicken was hot, crispy on the outside and moist inside.The mac and cheese was amazing. Definitely understand why it won awards.We went on a Wednesday which has $2 pieces of chicken.Loved the experience. Will go again.

We had been meaning for years to stop in and have some of the best damn chicken in Edmonton (exact words from a very dear friend who is no longer with us.) We finally got to stop in and he was not wrong. Hands down some of the best chicken that I have personally had outside the Southern US.I highly recommend you try their corn fritters and the NC Hot chicken is phenomenal, however if heat isn't your friend the OG level has great flavor too. The Dorito Mac n Cheese was damn good and the dill pickle salad was a great way to cool the heat from the NC hot chicken.All in all we enjoyed the meal, the service was 100% above and beyond.
