The laminate floor starts creaking and squeaking every time it becomes hot and/or humid outside. The company sent their workers four times to fix it, but it still stays the same.

This is a company contracted by the insurance company . Your insurance company will try to make it seem like you have to use then but you DONT.They are there not to help you but to save as much money for the insurance company as possible.They provided us with a quote and included the bare minimum , not even changing our flooded damaged floors. They did emergency repairs and damaged most of our furniture and personal items . Insurance company refused to compensate .Beware and don’t use them , insist your insurance company cover everything.

I recently had a distressing experience with a restoration company that was recommended by my insurance provider, All State. I would strongly advise against using their services based on the horrendous ordeal I went through. The entire restoration process took an astonishing eight months to complete, during which the company exhibited gross negligence and unprofessional behavior.To begin with, the restoration team failed to address my specific requests. Despite clearly asking for the hardwood flooring to be replaced, they ignored my instructions and neglected this important aspect of the repairs. I had even provided them with the necessary flooring materials, yet they still didn't fulfill this basic requirement.Furthermore, the professionalism of the company's employees was seriously lacking. On one occasion, they left the outside door open during winter, exposing my home to the harsh elements for an entire day. Another incident involved an employee who behaved inappropriately and made my wife feel extremely unsafe. She was startled to find him in the kitchen with his pants down, making disturbing sounds and actions. This violation of privacy and security is absolutely unacceptable.Moreover, the company's pricing practices were deceptive. Initially, they provided a quote for an upgrade, which we agreed upon as we were planning additional work in the washroom. However, they later changed the price without any explanation or justification. Despite my attempts to rectify the situation by contacting the lead representative, the promised adjustments were never made.The workmanship of the restoration team was subpar, leaving behind visible damage to the hardwood floors and exhibiting a cheap and cost-cutting approach. The quality of their work did not match the standards that were present prior to the claim, leading to a disappointing outcome.The most frustrating aspect of this experience was the lack of control I felt over the entire process. It was disheartening to witness the extended period of time it took for the restoration to be completed, leaving our tenants unable to live in their own space for far too long. The overall lack of accountability, poor communication, and disregard for our concerns made this experience truly disheartening.In conclusion, I cannot express my disappointment enough regarding the restoration services provided by this company. From their failure to meet specific instructions to their unprofessional behavior and disregard for our safety, this was an experience that I would not wish upon anyone. I strongly advise against using their services, as they have demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism, competence, and respect for their clients.

In November our family suffered a flood in our basement. The 3/4 inch municipal water meter blew up and flooded our Completely renovated and finished basement. The water company acknowledged no fault to us and told us in Ontario we needed to go through our home insurance. Allstate insurance immediately sent in Refined restorations to begin the remediation.They Came in promptly and project manager James assessed the Situtaion. The Allstate customer service rep said this claim could be in the 100k range for restoration so it needed to go to a senior advisor like Sheri young and manager Geoff Bean.Dealing with refined restoration;They refused to remove our items in the basement rather they shuttled everything to the back and worked around them. They begin cutting with saws and removing our floor and plywood subfloor, dry wall. The mess was overwhelming. The dust from the work went through our entire house through the hvac system. They showed very little respect for our belongings. They even stacked water log damaged materials they remove on top of our brand new sofa and belongings. They also broke our glass walkout door. When we sent them pictures of the damage as requested they sent us back a picture saying the damage to the door was already there? We politely told them that was not the damaged area we were referring to. Still no response and we ended up changing the door ourselves at a $3000 expense to our family.Pictures and email support what we are saying.Secondly.They demonstrated a pattern of doing the least amount of work when removing the areas that were subjected to water damage. They would often remove the majority of the floor but would stop before the bookshelves , fireplace, half walls. Essentially they would cut around our expensive upgrades. This was concerning because the subfloor with waterproofing underneath extended throughout the basement. Framing was built on top of the subfloor.We would argue with Allstate because of our fear of mold etc and after lengthy delays Allstate would encourage them to investigate further. In doing so they would always find water all the time. This happened 3 times. We have all the emails to support this.This happened when they refused to remove the bookshelves, fireplace and Halfwall dividing the tv area from the bar.Unfortunately we trusted them and Allstate that the “water issues were resolved” and took a  financial buy out rather than let refined restoration complete the repairs. We did not want them in our house anymore. We were not given a option to use another contractor through Allstate. The buy out was half the amount for this settlement option because Allstate refuses to pay for labor with this option. Fair?Our contractors quickly found additional water where we suspected at the half wall. Once again refined restoration stopped the removal of the floor 2-4 inches from the half wall. Allstate refused to compensate us for the additional water damaged area. In our opinion this should of been found at the beginning of the flood by refined restoration. We are now out a additional 20-30k. Fair?We notified Allstate immediately with pictures clearly showing the additional water damage and our contractors stopped work immediately. Allstate sent James over from refined restoration. Although you could see the water and feel the water with your hands on the membrane and plywood he said; “ I am not getting any water readings”. ?After 4 months of dealing with Allstate they rejected our claim of further water damage. Fortunately we were able to remove the Additional water damage areas ourselves and limit the future risk of mold exposure to our young family.This was our experience. We hope it will somehow help families moving forward who are subjected to flood or water issues and insurance claims.
