AIDS Vancouver is an incredible organization with the most caring and amazing staff in this city. They provide much needed services to people who really need it. AIDS Vancouver is particularly close to my heart because they supported me through one of the most darkest and challenging parts of my life. I can put my hand on my heart and say that this organization along with one of their social workers named Jordan single handedly saved my life. I would not be typing this review today if it wasn’t for everything they’ve done for me. Jordan is my saviour. She seen me battle a terrible addiction all the way from my using days and up until where I am now - 6 months sober. She’s an angel that walked into my life and saved it. I will always be forever grateful to AIDS Vancouver, particularly Jordan. I hope you continue doing the amazing and life saving work that you do. I love you guys so much and I’ll always hold that love in my heart forever. Thank you so much xx

The people who work there address your needs & try their best to help you out. As a volunteer, they treat you like family. Their supplementary grocery program is usable as long as you're a member there.

They have lots to offer a community that is often misunderstood. If you or someone you has HIV it is an excellent place to tap into for resources around the city. Plus a Peer program was started years ago that offers helps for hiv and substance use.

I don’t feel safe walking by this building. More and more people setting up makeshift shelters just outside the building on the sidewalk.

One of their staff, I believe the name is Anoop was always extremely condescending and like programmed. No compassion, talking from above, and all with an obviously fake smile... Very unpleasant. Good cause for sure, and I definitely support that, but stuck up, wannabe uppity personnel with a clearly wrong approach. This kind of organization needs genuine people, it’s a charity m, and it all looks more like a business... Disappointment. Hopefully they can do something about this because it doesn’t go together and it’s not ok.

The AIDS Vancouver Grocery is a food bank for members of AV. It is run by helpful, friendly and dedicated volunteers and provides a large variety of some of the highest quality, nutritious groceries, including fresh produce and dairy, among any not-for-profit food support services in Vancouver. It runs 2 - 3 weeks out of each month on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as a womens' only opening on Thursdays.
