The literal worst service I’ve EVER used, the call centres are brutal with time/quality. Epcor monopoly forces you to use them or a sister branch like encore so you’re going to get taken for a ride wherever possible. Only advice since there’s no other alternatives is the floating rate is an absolute scam.

Epcor distribution department sucks. They placed a no access fee on our bill for our meter installations, while our camera showed their lazy guy did not even left his car and tried the lockbox code provided. Later, they further lied and said they were not able to leave me a message and therefore they had a charge on me.Look, next time when you did not get back to my call, what about my time?? Is my time free? What make you think your lazy technician's hourly rate is more than mine?Exactly lazy, inefficient and ignorant people like you make Canada's building industry so slow. You think you are the boss because you own the whole city's power and water distribution, but that does not change the fact that you are disgusting and people do not like you.Show respect to those who feed you, and more importantly, you respect yourself by doing that!

I was told to call Oct 23 so they could mail my deposit cheque ($450) to me. I called that day and they said no problem. Fast forward a couple days Oct 27, I get my power bill and it's credit of $252. I called them and was then told that it's policy to take that months month's bill was always taken out of the deposit cheque

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with, if you can use any other provider DO IT. I had changed the email on my account and they still sent my bills and payment withdrawals to my old email. My recent automatic withdrawal did not go through due to “an expired card” even though all my other bills went through. I paid my bill the same day not even within 12 hours and they are still charging me a 25$ late fee. Refusing to reverse the charge even though received payment on time.

0/10 would NEVER recommend. Somehow someone accidentally tried setting up services for my house, then corrected their mistake. Epcor didn’t notify me that apparently that knocks me out of their services, so they call months later asking me if I wanted to sign up for electricity. Apparently the omission from my bill, constitutes as them notifying me that I don’t have electricity. Wouldn’t rectify until weeks later when they finally admitted wrong doing. Absolute garbage customer service, don’t choose them unless you absolutely have to.

How do you make a complaint against a business practice? I made a payment to Epcor early on the 4th and I guess they have it in their terms of conditions (the fine print) that you can't pay manually and it must be autodeposit. That was NEVER discussed with me. I even asked someone when I set up if I coulld pay early cuz I don't like having to wait for autodeposit to manage my money for me. The money came out of my account yesterday and today it says it doesn't show as processed on their system even though it shows on my bank that they took my money. They say in their terms of conditions you can't pay manually but then they still have an option to pay through online banking which then they will have to wait to start the refund when the payment posts on their side and because of the pandemic for some reason it will take two weeks after it posts which I will have to call back for. They won't initiate a refund because the payment doesn't show in their system but what they could do is refund my accidental payment which they will not do. I live like a lot of people and don't have extra money to be paying EPCOR twice and have to wait 2 weeks to get my money back. Maybe I can call the bank and get it reversed if it hasn't shown up in their system yet.

Cancelled my services at the end of September as I was moving. Still waiting to get the deposit I had to pay to even get their services to being with reimbursed. The first time I called in they said 6-8 weeks and now I called in and it's gone up to 8-10 weeks. I was told that I needed to call back at the end of January to follow up. So that 3 months total waiting to get a refund that shows on my statement. What an effing joke. Make us pay the deposit and then just hold the money. Real reasonable. But hey, at least someone at Epcor will have that money for Christmas.

Terrible experience. Very disappointedI pay my bill with Epcor via their credit card payment system Kubra. What a huge mistake. My power was put on a limiter as they said I didn't pay my bill. When I called them they said oh we can see you paid your bill through Kubra 14 days ago." What the hell!! It should not take 14 days to update a credit card payment on your account. They assured me my power would be back on ASAP. It has been 2 days of limited power and no end in site. Needkess to say

We got our water bill on auto payment and from a point after the Pandemic starts, the autopay stopped taking money out. We did not know why so We called Epcor and was told that the bill will be spilt into future payment and we would not have to worry that the water being shut down. However the autopayment never resumes and we got water shutdown eventually. We called customer service again and was told the case is different now and we have to pay the balance owed. We cleared the balance immediately as we were never intented not paying because we had the automatic payment. We were then told even with the payment it takes 48 hours to resume the water service. We have a family of 6 in the house and we had no idea what the life will be like without water! Could you please look into that and have our water back as soon as possible?

I’m not sure if this is the right spot to leave the review but I dealt with angelee in billing for encore by epcor and she was absolutely amazing!!!! She was so kind and understanding and had amazing customer service. Would absolutely recommend. Also epcor is way cheaper than direct energy. She deserves a raise.
