The women of Golden Leash K9 were exceptional to work with. Not only did they take the time to train my dog with skill and compassion, they also made every effort to build my confidence as a dog-owner. I am so thankful I started with them from day one.

I brought my small & large breed dog here for board and train. I am beyond words. I can happily say they are both angels and listen to my commands now thanks to the girls at golden leash :)

First of all we cannot thank or recommend the amazing ladies at Golden Leash K9 enough for everything they have done for our dog Rafa and us! About 6 months ago we adopted a 2 year old golden retriever from the humane society. We were excited and thought we were getting the typical happy and goofy golden retriever. We were not prepared for the challenge we had once we got him. Rafa is a great dog but it was obvious he did not have structure, consistency, or leadership in his previous home. He was impossible to walk as he would pull to the point of choking himself. When we got him he actually had no bark for weeks. He was also super reactive to other dogs and animals. We signed him up with another trainer shortly after getting him and after 6 sessions and us doing multiple training sessions every day for months, we noticed no difference. In fact his reactivity was getting worse. We couldn’t take him anywhere! After a few months we signed up with yet another trainer and same story…no improvement. Summer passed and we did not get to have many adventures with him. We felt frustrated, defeated, and had thought maybe we were not the best home for him. We preserved and said let’s try another trainer and hope for the best. That’s when we came across Golden Leash K9’s. During our first meet and greet they were very honest and straightforward and had a plan. They also told us something that would stick with us. They said “we know we aren’t your first trainers but we intend to be the last!” So we started Rafa’s training sessions. The first few were difficult. We were learning a whole new language and how to communicate with him. We were laying the ground work. Then about half way through our sessions, we had our breakthrough. Rafa learned what we were asking of him and he started listening! With every session, walk, or time we took him out he showed so much improvement. We started exposing him to more of the world and he was handling it so well. Things we never would have imagined doing with him we were now able to do. Rafa still has a way to go but the progress from where he was to now is unbelievable and again we have the ladies at Golden Leash to thank! 10/10 would recommend! Thanks again ladies!

Incredible doesn't even begin to describe our experience. From the second we met the owners to every conversation, every training session, it's been a truly amazing experience!We purchased our daughter's [service dog in training] dog from them and it was an wonderful experience.We have done weekly puppy training, as well as board and train with them & both have been great experiences.My daughter who has special needs, feels welcome, comfortable, listened to, cared about & respected at Golden Leash K9's.Every step of the way, we have let our daughter who's 15, be mostly in charge of the aspects of her dog. Right down to her attending and handling the training.Hannah and Isabel have not only made that possible for her & us, but have supported our daughter every step of the way.Athena came home from board and train a new dog. I recently was put into a very difficult situation when my young German Shepherd was showing sings of aggression. At first I wanted to surrender the dog, but in time decided that he deserved another chance. Golden Leash, helped me so much through the entire process, they were incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. Ralphie ended up staying for a full board and train and is doing amazing at home. I'm so glad that we got professional help, it truly gave this dog a second chance, and our family a second chance.

We highly recommend Golden Leash K9s!Link, our stubborn 9-month old Corgi, struggled with manners and leash pulling. At home, he would jump on our furniture, try to eat our kids’ toys, and bark at us when he didn’t get his way. On walks, he would pull us so hard in multiple directions and drag us towards distractions (squirrels, leaves, other dogs, etc.) With a toddler and a newborn a home, it was so hard to get a handle on things and we were constantly frustrated and overwhelmed. We discovered Golden Leash K9s through a recommendation for dog training on a local Facebook group. After reading positive reviews, we thought we would give them a try, and it was one of the best decisions we’ve made! After completing his board & train program, Link is a brand new dog; he now walks amazingly on-leash and has greater control when faced with distractions - our walks are now enjoyable and stress-free. He has such incredible manners at home; he no longer jumps on furniture, no longer attempts to destroy any of our belongings, stays in “place” when asked, and easily follows multiple commands. Their follow-up sessions were extremely beneficial in helping us refine his newly learned skills. Overall, their approach worked very well with Link and we could not be more thankful for how Hannah & Isabel have helped us! I would happily recommend Golden Leash to anyone looking for help with their dog. Isabel and Hannah were amazing in getting us back on track with our dog. Reggie is a wonderful but stubborn 1-year old boxer who thought he was in charge. We were really struggling with getting him to listen and he was impossible to manage on walks.After his stay with Golden Leash, he is listening consistently and walking nicely, and we have the tools and knowledge we need to quickly correct any bad behaviour. We are the ones in control now, and it feels amazing.Reggie also loved getting to play with other dogs during his stay and has been campaigning for a return visit!

These trainers know what they’re doing, period. There are many signs that the owners are incredibly competent including their own success in IGP competition work, using a variety of positive reinforcement methods and the variety of dogs that they own and train for adoption. They have an extremely balanced approach to training, with a positive approach always used first and correction used only if required for your individual dog’s need.I brought my 4 month old beauceron for puppy foundations. First of all, I LOVE that they only do private sessions. No two dogs are the same and owners have so many different goals. In the 30-60 mins we are at training, we learn SO much. I was training with the goal to dabble in dog sports (including obedience, dock diving, canicross), and the trainers offered me advice that the average pet obedience class would simply not. The trainers understand that a dog’s drive is incredibly important and they gave us advice on how to promote drive and how to set boundaries at home, which can be complicated when you have a working dog but also a full time job yourself haha.We learned a mix of sit, down, stays, place, clicker training, body awareness, heeling and more with these trainers, which is honestly quite a mix of pet obedience and working/ formal wedding obedience. There’s no silly “step” program or “graduation” certificates because that’s not how a dog’s success is measured. It depends what you want your dog to do, and what consistency you can manage.I am incredibly grateful for finding these trainers and wish them all the success! As new dog owners we weren't really sure where to turn to teach our girl manners and walking on leash. She would literally yank us across the road and was quite uncontrollable. That's where the gals at Golden Leash came in. They did an AMAZING job with our Violet in their board and train program. She's got amazing manners and is an absolute pleasure to walk. No more lunging, yanking and choking herself out. Thank you Golden Leash!

This company is by far THE BEST! Their work ethic is amazing. The care they have for the animals is just great. A dog from my litter went to them and they turned a very hyper non listening boy into an amazing listening off leash smart hard working dog. They are so compassionate as well.
