Maria's Souvlaki Greek Restaurant
A excellent real Greek restaurant. Very friendly. Maria and the team work hard to ensure you receive your fresh food as soon as possible. How they remember who ordered what is a mystery to me. You line up and order and then find a table inside or on the nicer days outside on the patio in front. Souvlaki and salad is popular but many other options to choose from. Hot fresh fries or Kalamari. I don't think I have read the whole menu as there is lots to choose from. A definite locals hangout but great for visitors as well. Good food and good people. Try it out.

Super friendly staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the fast service. One thing that can be improved is if they bring all orders together or at least within a short time from eachother. It is awkward when 3 people have their food in front of them and one person is waiting for 5 minutes. We wanted to eat together and the wait made the food a little cold. Chicken souvlaki was very delicious, although had I been given the choice, I would have preferred it without onions. Calamari was ok but there were some tiny pieces that had too much battering. Moussaka wasn't tasty. It had good ingredients but the taste was quite bland. Needed salt and spices. Overall 4 out of 5.

Great atmosphere. Lots of room not packed together. Open and lots of light. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Food was delicious! Pita bread is soft and tasty. Fries are perfect! Our son loved the chicken fingers!

Service was great, food was even better. Lamb cooked just right, tender and juicy. Nice patio, and short walk to the water front. Awesome place to go in Sidney area.

Popular Greek restaurant. Good menu choices, with other non Greek items. Order food at counter, but delivered to your table. The interior does not remind me of a Greek restaurant

Not good, it was not cooked all the way, I do not recommend to anyway. In my opinion it’s not even worth trying once. You can try other alternative restaurants nearby. The only reason I gave 2 star was due to seating arrangements outside the restaurant which was nice. Service was ok, but again did not liked the food.

Maria's is a cafeteria style spot. Many nice tables to choose from. The view is not exceptional, roadside . The food was hot and delicious. Very enjoyable . Also had a cold beer.

We did all-out today, as we needed some wholesome food to eat at the Swartz Bay Ferry while waiting. We had chicken souvlaki! It was packaged well for takeout and stayed hot until we got to our queue and parked. The food was delicious! Highly recommended for this purpose, but will have to try dine in in the future.
