After a lot of research and multiple recommendations I ended up sitting down with Louis. Within minutes I knew I was at the right spot for my needs. Make no mistake AMS is not your cheapest option (Louis will tell you that) but they listen to your needs and they build what you need. With the supply chain issues still being present the build was longer than anticipated but the AMS crew kept us updated on the parts etc they we’re waiting for. Every person in the shop has been there for multiple years, the knowledge in the building is one of a kind. If you are looking for a performance engine build, look no further.

Motor has been there since March, it is now late July. Can't get parts for a 302?? I'm having a hard time believing that. Can't help feeling like I am being passed over for other customers. If that's the case they could have said something. Bad taste in my mouth, if your new and getting into hot rodding, I would recommend you don't. Whole experience the last 5 years in nothing but disappointments. My money is green like everyone else.

Charlie and Louie delivered as promised. They built a pretty stout Dart LS 427 for my corvette. Zero complaints or issues and completed on time.

Seem like a reputable shop, however dealing Charlie was a pretty terrible experience. Took my 6.0 ls there and was there for 2 months. Countless phone calls to see what was going on Had to give him my email 3 times before he emailed me a quote, when I asked him a question about some different pistons than he quoted me he stopped replying. And was pretty rude when I emailed back.Terrible customer service. Do what your say you’re going to do when you say you’re gonna do it.Louie however is a nice guy. Didn’t deal with him much tho

Engine was there for 53 weeks..........yes 53 weeks for 400 HP Ford 302! Wrong water pump was put on which was minor, but now that engine is installed I now have a rear pan gasket leak. Is this really how bad things have gotten.....bring on the electric age! To update this....it was a rear seal leak that after they ran it to break in the cam, they obviously saw the leak. They didn't bother to fix it but instead gooped it with silicone. Lazy Motherf--ers!

For the price these guys charge they should learn a little bit of customer service. Very rude and hard to talk to. After paying IN FULL you'd think they could answer the simple question of when I can expect the work to be done without Condescending their Customers. I pulled my motor out of there at that point. I preferred to spend my money anywhere else. On the plus side. Their employee Vern seems like a Gentleman. Supposedly they do good work but time will tell. Extremely disappointing customer service
