Toronto Public Library - Yorkville Branch

Loved coming here growing up

It's a very small branch but they have a really good selection of books to borrow. There are lots of computers to use and plenty of comfortable seating.

Love this library for it quietness but I find the staff to be particular abd I say this base on a experiences I had. One that that top it all I went to borrow some books staff was friendly smiling and talking to client ahead. Client walked away I'm dtill in line no one behind me staff literally put her head down and start doing her own thing. Ok maybe she us finish in up,still no acknowledgement waiting waiting, waiting she stood there no hi no May I help you no nothing. Then I said to the staff Are you gonna continue to ignore me?" Now my presence was acknowledged. Prejudice is REAL it's sad that a big city like Toronto still have people like that working in a public space. BUT that will never stop me from coming if I have to demand service we will be at the library. It free space for all no matter your location."

I like this smaller public library. The staff are helpful and friendly. At this time of covid-19 there is only allowed browsing and borrowing and reserved computer use.

This is a great little library with a nice Children’a section.

Great branch. Clean, quiet, bright, and airy. Plus, friendly, helpful staff!

It's a good place to study as it is generally quiet and has great resources.

Excellent collection of books. A better option if you prefer solitude rather than the reference library.

Lovely, kind staff, and inclusive feel (celebrates all holidays and heritage/cultural months with quirky book displays).Kids section is a little sparse, but not shocking, given the size of the facility.

Really iconic location of TPL which is hindered by even bigger Reference Library nearby.It’s a small library with just ground floor but really historical building with a stairway to beautiful facade.
