Moderate hike going to the top of Black Mountain. Great views of Kelowna and Okanagan Lake. Great all season hike but in winter, wear good boots/ bring poles and snowshoes!

A great start to the trail network. The grassland trail and ridge trail are temporarily marked but not developed and the views are great. Watch out for cattle. Some of the Ephemerial Pond and Coyote trails run along the shaded sides of draws so will likely take awhile to be clear of snow/ice in spring.

This is a nice hike however the area is not maintained. The fence to the entry from Tower Ranch has been taken down so dirt bikes can enter and it is not dog friendly with no Dog Waste Bins for poop bags. Either it doesn’t get picked up or bags are left around on the ground or thrown in bushes.The entrance mentions its a temporary entrance.Garbage and /or poop disposal should be installed.
