Perfect place to camp if you like well spaced sites among trees that are level!! Pleasant owners who even bake fresh bread! Nice to have access to laundry and always have hot water for showers! Plenty space to maneuver too. Spent a pleasant day at Taylor Head Provincial Park hiking with a final stop at the pristine beach. Stay awhile and enjoy this lovely spot!

This is a great place to relax. The couple who own it and the staff are very nice and made us feel welcome. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was clean, roomy and had exceeded expectations. There is a outhouse which is clean, we couldn’t even smell it. There is a bathroom and shower just across a field (only 1$ for shower). The cabin has a bar size fridge, microwave, kettle, futon bed, bunk bed, small table , coffee table, cabinet and recliner. We stayed in the one with the sun deck, which was great for the day it rained. We will go back and I would suggest this place to anyone who is looking for a relaxing place to camp.

We had actually chosen another campground to stay in, based on the ratings, but it was sold out the days we wanted. So, in spite of the lower rating, we booked into Spry Bay Campground. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Not only is it a lovely, well kept campground, the owners are on site and are very welcoming. The sites are quite level- we did not have to use any leveling blocks. They also have a nicely stocked camp convenience store, bake fresh bread & Pizza and will deliver the wood you purchase from them to your site . And our experience got better. We had been having a problem with our 45 RL diesel pusher RV for a few days. We would intermittently have no on board power for a few minutes. This day upon arrival, it was totally out (it turned out to be faulty attachment of wiring in the RV’s main box). Working with the Technician from our RV dealer back home, my husband needed the manual for the wiring diagrams in order to go through all the troubleshooting steps. One of the owners, Janice, not only used her computer & found the manual online for me, she printed out the 50 pages for us! I highly reccommend this place & look forward to staying with them again my next stay in the area. Make sure to stroll around the property. It has a lovely babbling brook with a footbridge over it, a playground for small children and they are only a few minutes drive to the Taylor Head Provincial Park. The park has a nice trail which you can do in sections depending on your level of fitness / endurance, as well as a great beach.

Had the large combo pizza which consisted of pepperoni, cheese, mushrooms, green pepper. It was excellent. Cooked just right, thin crust and lots of cheese. So yummy!!

We honestly don’t understand the bad ratings and reviews of this campground. The owners are super friendly, it‘s nice and clean and close to one of the most beautiful beaches in NS.

We are traveling along the coast of Nova Scotia this summer in our 40-foot motorhome. What a wonderful find this campground was! Along with tent sites, the campground offers long, level pull-thrus and back-ins for units our size. The campground owner and his wife were friendly and welcoming. They have owned the campground for 18 months and it’s obvious they have made many upgrades on the property. They stock some well-thought-out grocery items in the small camp store but the best thing is they make fresh pizza on site. What camper isn’t pleased, after a day of travel, to arrive and order dinner? Another bonus is the proximity to Taylor Head Provincial Park, where there are trails to hike, picnic tables at which to enjoy your lunch and a sandy beach to explore. This is definitely a great stop.

This place is not a place where you should spend your money!! This campground is just an easy cash grab for the owners. This campground/motel is right beside the highway and it is almost impossible to sleep. There is also nothing to do in this campground because the playground is broken and the cheap poorly built pool is very dirty and never cleaned so there are many dead bugs in it. The owner of this campground is also very rude and makes you feel not welcomed. The owner of this campground tried to evict our family because they were annoyed with our children. If you are planning on coming to this campground don't it is just a huge junkyard.

Difficult to contact them, at least off season. Email from their website didn't work. They don't mention taking bookings on the site. We'll be in the area in July but won't arrive until early evening so, if they don't take bookings, I'll need to book someplace else.

I stayed there August 2021 and I am booked back again. The sites are large. I find the staff very friendly and helpful. Taylor Head beach and walking trails are near by. If you need a place that is going to keep your kids entertained, this not the place for you. Think of it as a provincial park camp ground, without the nagging about noise. And the pizza is REALLY GOOD! I love it there!
