The head office is run with one goal in mind: corporate greed. The company will advertise being family friendly, and then gauge you for needless fixes upon your departure. The company chooses to put carpet in the units and then allows pets, then will charge you to replace the carpet after you officially move out, even though during the move-out walk through you were told the carpet was in good shape.The building manager I had was the only employee worth a good review. Every experience with the head office staff was beyond poor - they didn't have a single regard for the renter as a person, completely throwing true customer service out the window. They would quote laws in attempts to get more money out of the renter, even if the Tenant Board advised the opposite of what Summit was trying to advise.I have dealt with many rental companies in the past and Summit is by far the worst I have ever experienced. Even in a poor rental market it's worth paying a little more rent to not have to deal with these people.

My husband and I have recently secured a lease with Summit Properties and it was all thanks to Rose Taliana. We have been struggling to find a place due to the competitive nature of the current housing market and because our situation is unique. We have looked at many apartment buildings and dealt with many individuals in the process and Rose was by far the most professional, kind, considerate and helpful. She went above and beyond and we are grateful! Thank you Rose, you are a saint!

Shawn and Mike superintendents are so very kind, considerate and very pleasant.Summit is very considerate also. Great place to live.

Kudos to the Summit Properties teams.We appreciate the hard work we see being done to keep the buildings and property in tip top shape.We especially appreciate our building managers. Friendly and hard working, they always seem to be available when you need them and they respond quickly.We hope to enjoy many more years here. What a fabulous place to live.

Since our building manager has been changed, I must have to change my opinion.Shawn is an amazing person. Very co-operative, kind & nice. I am living here from 9 years. Had super bad experience with old manager.And I know almost half of the building, & most of them had complaints with Nuno, but now we all are happy with new building manager. Feels like relax now, if anything happens there is someone to take care.

I used to live at this rental property about 4 years ago under different management and had a wonderful experience back then so I decided to give it another shot. Let me tell you that my second visit was nothing less than horrible. We were explained one thing before signing the lease and found it to be the complete opposite once we got there. Lack of communication and rude management in general.However, that is not where my rating comes from. I have been out of the building for 3 months now, I found a sublet to takeover and my old roommate is still living there. All rental payments are still being made by myself as my name is on the lease. This team had the audacity to inform my new landlords that not only did I break my lease, but also that I missed my payments. Not only is there proof of payments but we informed the proper chain of command about the current change in tenancy and they said everything was good to go in regards to subletting. They even mentioned the burden of payments would still be on me should my subletter not pay. Neither my old roommate nor myself heard of this issue since it is untrue. Knowing summit, if we had missed any payments they would have informed us about this 12 hours later, so getting informed about this through your new landlord 3 months later leaves nothing but a bitter taste in my mouth. Slandering someone is not alright.Horribly run organization.

We experienced recently, our microwave wasn't working, as well as our stove top. Fair enough, appliances are over 15 yrs old.A request was submitted and 2 days later, Stove was repaired with new coils and trays (stove looks brand new!), and a new Microwave was installed. Thank you for your quick response and quick repair.Superintendents, their maintenance crew and Building manager Heather are amazing, responsive individuals.Thank you for your kind consideration.

I have lived at 744 Proudfoot Lane for several years and loved how well maintained the building is. Nuno was a great building manager and always stayed on top of everything and I missed him when he retired.The building has been extremely lucky getting Debra as his replacement. She has expanded on the work that Nuno started and the building is even better than before. The maintenance team is always very quick to attend to any concerns. There is always advance notice of any changes when things need to be shutdown for routine maintenance. The building is bright and well lit both inside and out. Burnt out bulbs are replaced as fast as suppliers allow. Debra's dog is such a little sweetheart and very rarely barks which is unusual for a small dog.I can't imagine finding a better building in the city to live in. Pine ridge has the best location for walking to anything you could possibly need and combine that with the professional job Debra is doing and you end up with the perfect place to live.

744 Proudfoot lane is a great place to live since deb and mike have taken over! The building always looks and smells clean. Sidewalks are always cleared of snow and ice during this past winter. When a work order is submitted it is taken care of within a day. Staff is friendly, easy to approach and above all professional. I would highly recommend someone to come here to live

Dan, the electrician, was very prompt and performed his task very efficiently. He plans to return when he has someone to help him remove the microwave in order to fix the switch issue under fan. He was very personable and I enjoyed Interacting with him interacting with.
