Family First Dental

I have been searching for a really good dentist for many years, and I can finally say I found her! Judy Gough is fabulous! Finally, I have found a dentist who is not only excellent herself, but one who has surrounded herself with an excellent team! In the last 20+ years, I have found a good dentist, but the hygienist was rough, rude, and rushed. Another time I found and amazing hygienist, but the dentist did poor work, and gave me a hematoma. There was also the time I thought I found a good dentist until he took the liberty of filing two of my front teeth because he thought it made my teeth look better! The myriad of others are not worth mentioning.I no longer dread going to the dentist. Judy is current and professional, patient and informative, gentle in character and technique, personable, and doesn't rush you through. I could not be happier or more at peace with any health care professional.

Before going to Dr. Park and Dr. Chanabai, I thought all dentists were created equal. Was I ever wrong! These two women and their team are absolute pros! They are both super knowledgeable, at the top of their game, precise and diligent, yet understanding with a great bedside manner. I would highly recommend the Family First Dental team to anyone.

Having moved around within Canada, I’ve had my fair share of different dentists from coast to coast and Dr. Christine Park is quite possibly the best dentist I’ve ever had. For someone who has a lot of anxiety around needles in their mouth, Dr. Parks method is incredibly easy. I didn’t even feel it.Dr. Parks is also a perfectionist, so I know I’m in good hands. I can’t praise this practice more.

Dr. Park is professional and personable, explaining work that needs to be done in an easy to understand way. My 7 yr old daughter needed an extraction and a space maintainer. She had previously visited a specialist and needed sedation but Dr. Park earned her trust and she was able to get through her appointments without the need for sedation! I was relieved. Dr. Park is very skilled and my daughter and I both highly recommend her.

Let me begin by saying that I do NOT like going to the dentist. I’ve had so many bad experiences with many different dentists in the past. But a friend recommended Dr Park and after months of chickening out, I finally booked an appointment.I had to get a couple fillings done and not only was Dr. Park very gentle (I didn’t feel the syringe at all!) but she was very precise. This is the first time I didn’t have to go back for adjustments for fillings that didn’t feel right!She was also very knowledgeable with questions I had about other problems.The staff are all kind and personable too!I can definitely say that I’m a lot less nervous about dentist visits now!Thank you!

After having several bad experiences with dentists over the years, including a sensitivity to dental freezing and pain during routine procedures, I finally found Dr. Judy Gough about 8 years ago. Dr. Gough is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. She is kind and patient, and always takes the time to explain what is going on in layperson's terms, even when things are technical. She goes out of her way to make sure her all of patients are comfortable and understand what is going on, and is just an overall kind person. She is also a highly skilled dentist - family members and I have had complex work done by her, and she does a fantastic job and always does it perfectly (and painlessly - which is amazing given my degree of sensitivity). She will refer out patients to specialists where necessary also, which is great as she really cares about the patients and ensuring things are done right, with the patient's best interest in mind. Given my experiences with Dr. Gough, I had no hesitation bringing my kids to her when they started getting their teeth, and she is so fabulous with them as well. A mother herself, she can really relate to children and make them feel safe, interested, and engaged. (Quite unlike me at their age) my kids LOVE going to the dentist, as Dr. Gough has gone to great measures to make it fun for them. She even gave me tips when I was pregnant to ensure they had a great start with their teeth, telling me things that I wouldn't have otherwise known. All in all, Dr. Gough is a fabulous dentist and great person, and I keep going back even though I have moved out of Vancouver and now commute for up to 45 minutes just to get there. I wouldn't consider going elsewhere, and highly recommend her services.

My girls have been going to this clinic since they were 1 years old. They are not scared of going to the dentist and are treated so nicely by all the staff. My dentist recently quit from my regular clinic so I’m going to get my next cleaning at Family First Dental
