Ramsey Lake Boat Launch

Easy to launch. Some ppl got a bit fired up around dinner time exit. Just remember that everyone wants to launch at noon and pull out at dinner, so if you avoid these times, it's smooth sailing on and off.

This is a very good boat launch it has a public washroom, there are plenty of garbage cans, the ramp is concrete and a good grade acomadating even larger 25ff fiberglass boats

For the size of the lake within city limits the size of the boat launch is underwhelming with only 2 spots to launch your boat. Your best bet is to go early in the day, late in the evening or go on a weekday. Otherwise you could wind up waiting in line to get your boat in/out. Parking is also limited.

The visit to the Ramsey lake boat launch area was simply fantastic. We visited the place in winter and the lake was in a frozen state. We were fortunate to walk on the frozen lake and that too for a person in his 79th year , along with his wife, who is also in her 70 s. We also saw a scooter and two cars moving on the lake.

This a great boat launch for accessing Ramsey lake. The launch is nice and wide and can accommodate two vehicles at once.It's a nice gravel bottom with enough depth for any boat type. The docks are well maintained and long enough to handle a few boats waiting.It's got plenty of parking and is very easy to navigate. There is a dip on one side that needs attention though. The grade is also perfect for letting your boat drain after a fun day in the lake.It's a free boat launch which is great and it's maintained by the city. You do need to be cautious as it can get busy especially on weekends. The only negative is the lack of ramp etiquette from some boaters. Just remember to be prepared before you launch and don't hold others up.
