They over charged me by $355 for February rent and they still havent refunded me, are refusing to return my call me about it even though the proof is in my bank history. They wanted to credit me for March rent. I am very low income and cant afford 355. I would never rent from mainstreet again and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY.Edit - no hot water. Tried phoning maintenance and was supposed to get a call back. Nothing. When i mentioned this to a receptionist it wasnt addressed

I applied for an apartment with this company. After giving them the security deposit. They then asked me for two months of rent on top of the security deposit I already paid. To me, this is very unprofessional just because it's like a hidden expanse kind of like a fine print. That's not stated at the beginning when you're viewing your apartment and whatnot would not recommend this company.

Buildings are a health hazard lots of cockroaches.Building. .Management and head office doesn't do a thing about it. Safety is pathetic as lots of car theft, lots of car dumps and breaking enters into suites and again. Management doesn't do anything, there's no Security cameras, nothing to make the place secure, avoid avoid avoid avoid.

MainStreet is okay with their tenants living in human waste and blaming it on the tenants; even though they are 100% responsible for the maintenance of sewage lines. Now a mother and daughter are homeless thanks to their unit being contaminated with human waste. Unsafe living conditions and do not care about their tenants. Only money.

Just renewed my lease and holy hell was it frustrating. They were awful to communicate with. Never responded to my messages. I did EVERYTHING they asked me too, and yet they fell short and failed to follow up and then made it seem like it was my fault for not having forms completed. Truly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced (speaking as someone who works in customer service).

Great customer service. I have been in touch with Laurianne, the manager at University Tower location, and she is wonderful!! She is very pleasant to talk to and is very accommodating. I requested a same day viewing, she got back to me promptly and arranged a viewing. She even offered to personally show the apartment to us on her day off. The few apartments we looked at were clean and well maintained.

I was informed by multiple managers that my rent will not increase from $899.00 This is based on the state of the apartment when I initially moved in.As of August 1st, rent incresaes to $1030.00. I don't feel comfortable paying that price for a unit in need of major repairs. I've submitted multiple requests and I'm still waiting for repairs to be done. I also don't feel comfortable paying over $1000 for a building that has multiple safety issues (broken windows and mailboxes, non functioning intercom system, transients crashing on the entrance floor and staircases, littered hallways, stairways, entrances, etcLastly, the laundry room dryer on the 2nd floor doesn't dry clothes properly. It requires 4 full cycles for clothes to dry. Coinamatic does nothing to resolve the problem so I have to trek all the way to the 4th floor to wash and dry, since the dryer up there dries clothes a whole lot better.My quality of life in this building as well as the unit is greatly compromised and to increase my rent is a major slap in the face, with all due respect.

I've had an unpleasant experience because of their terrible management. No one seems to take the ownership or responsibility all they've tried is to pass it on to other person. As a result of it, I ended up paying for I was not supposed to.I would strongly suggest everyone to watch out and avoid renting at Mainstreet.

If I could rate Mainstreet any less, I would. Absolutely appalling how they manage their buildings. Moved in, in September and have had pest treatments every month. Heat is included in rent, but you won't ever get heat. Literally went through all of winter months battling to keep heat in the apartment, and still can't keep it fixed. Homeless squatting in apartment but so called on call security" is no where to be found when needed. Bs excuse of a company. Would steer clear of here by a million feet"
