Alcatraz Chicken
Best chicken in the valley. So juicy and fresh the breading was crispy with delicious flavour. I had the spicy which was perfect. Not too hot just enough for great flavour. The original was great too. Fries were super crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall best chicken ive had in kelowna. The staff were very friendly and brought our food out too us. I will be a repeat customer.

Great service, delicious fries, and the spicy chicken was awesome. The pieces of chicken were hot and fresh from the fryer, but not dripping with grease. Reasonably priced.

Alcatraz Chicken
Went in with my mom to check this place out as who doesn’t love crispy chicken. Also had heard great reviews. Wow it didn’t disappoint!! Crispy, juicy and the seasoning is just right. Tried the original as I don’t normally don’t do spicy. But after looking at more reviews I might have to try one to see. My senior mom really enjoyed it too & the fries which are quite different. Top notch service as we also met the owner. What a Wonderful man!! I really hope that he hires staff that puts love and care into serving hot fresh food consistently, as he does.

Happened to walk by, and they had just opened today,which was great timing as we've been waiting to try them out.Let me tell you, the chicken did not disappoint! I haven't had chicken that crispy and flakey since the taste around the world cultural food convention.These two gentlemen were very friendly and chatty, even asking for suggestions, although I can't think of any.Said they were from Sri Lanka and big fans of Kentucky style chicken , but I assume the old style cause for it being deep fried there's not much oil(big bonus)!I still can't get over the breading. Delicious ,chicken was moist, flavourful, tasty, and the crunch on that breading/batter makes for a great sensation. We were full but ate for the enjoyment. If you like it spicy, they have that as an alternative to the original.Brought some to my mom's for uncle and mom to try, and they'll be ordering again tonight.How'd my uncle put it? That's how k.f.c used to be."Go try it out and tell them Braeden recommend."

Worth the wait for this new chicken place! Love how tender and Crispy their fried chickens are and big portions! Very Friendly and accommodating owners and staff! Alcatraz Chicken will be a constant go to for us! Keep it up!!!

Alcatraz Chicken
This place was recommended to us. Very impressed! Very clean. By far the best chicken out there. We ordered two 3-piece meals, one regular and one spicy. Loved it! Fries were very tasty and done just right. The chicken was nice and juicy. Very personable and super friendly staff. We will definitely be going back!

Tried Alcatraz for the first time today for lunch. I got the 2-piece combo, one piece regular, the other spicy. Both were fantastic, but I think I preferred the regular better.Super crispy and crunchy, not greasy at all, moist, delicious, flavourful... really, just so dang good. The fries were great too, nice and crispy.The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly.The 2-piece lunch special was very affordable, the chicken pieces are substantial, plenty of fries.Overall, extremely impressive.... I had driven by the place many times and never thought to stop in, but I'm glad I did, and I will absolutely be a repeat customer.

Just popped by to check out the fried chicken here due to all the new positive reviews for this new chicken joint in Rutland.I came pretty early right when they opened on a Sunday but they were ready to go. Owner/ manager was super friendly and set time expectations before ordering.I ordered the 4-piece meal (spicy) which gives you one of each piece (thigh, breast, wing, drum), coleslaw, fries and roll. It was satisfyingly flavourful, and definitely well fried with a very crunchy (more than I fancy) batter outside and pretty juicy meat inside. Fried fresh to order it does take some time, but it's worth the wait and not too long. Took it out back home (10-15 min) and it was still super hot.For a non-franchise that just started, I think they're doing a great job! It's nice that Rutland got a great alternative to KFC and wings. A little different than Korean fried chicken, but still a pretty good recipe. The spicy isn't really spicy and there's no beer yet :) Hopefully they'll be able to decorate the interior more for my next dine-in.

Super friendly, really reasonably priced chicken, huge pieces, well brined. Their coleslaw and macaroni salad were good, the coleslaw wasn’t the neon green kind from a box either. Definitely give them a try!!

Alcatraz Chicken
We just tried Alcatraz chicken for the first time tonight. It was perfectly crispy, cooked very well, nice and hot and they were nice big pieces. However, the chicken was definitely lacking seasoning and flavor. The fries were nice and crispy and seasoned well and the gravy was delicious. The dinner rolls were, well, dinner rolls, and tasted decent enough. Staff were very friendly. All in all, it was pretty good. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Perhaps we will go with the spicy chicken next time.
