Watertight? Nope, All our belongings ,furniture , clothes, pictures....gone, our container sat under 3 feet of water for a week or two, than sat and grew mold for another month. No restitution, blamed the first nations for not letting them on site to survey the damage. Claim they had no notice there was going to be a flood. It may flood again, don't trust them with your stuff!

From start to finish!We had a cross country move and we decided to reduce costs by using Big Steel Box.The ‘first contact person ‘was excellent…he was patient, respectful, and knowledgeable.After our account set up, I went to the Ottawa yard where the guys helped me to understand packing the container and it’s size. These are high quality shipping containers.Dropping the box off, although a bit tricky, was done by a very professional driver who made sure the pod was in the best place.Our pod then sat 4 months in the Abbotsford yard.Delivery was done onto a new brick driveway and the driver was so caring and patient about how he dropped the box. When it came time to pick the empty box up he made sure that we did not have one broken brick!This is a first rate company!It obviously has policies in place that produce very happy employees that want to do a good job…that want to provide excellent service…and above all they want you to be happy with their service too.Great company…from start to finish!

Awesome service from the Big Steel Box at Abbotsford.We had 2 20’ units to load our home for move to Calgary. The containers were in excellent condition. The guy that runs the place is awesome and extremely helpful. Good luck to him on his move to Edmonton.

Sold me a bad container that was supposed to be water tight. Leaked and ruined all of my belongings and they aren't willing to compensate me or replace the container. Damage was obviously painted over before sale. Shop somewhere else.Insurance won't cover the damaged content and I am now out thousands of dollars in my belongings.

From the very first call I was very impressed with BigSteelBox. The call said 30 sec. wait time and that's what it was...I got a friendly live person...who was friendly and professional and helped me with my needs. I had called other storage companies who failed to call me back. Highly highly recommend BigSteelBox to anyone needing to move or for storage! 10 out of 10 for me! When we decided to move from east of Toronto to BC we were facing a big dilemma. Even after selling, giving and dumping stuff, we still owned so much that we didn't want to get rid of. Big Steel Box gave us the flexible solution of packing partial shipments, storage and then unloading on our schedule into our new home. The employees are super awesome.

When selling our home, we wanted to renovate our new place before moving in, so we rentedA Big Steel Box unit and storage for a month.They dropped off container, our movers loaded it, they came at the end and took it away.We took possession of our new home, did renovations, then container was delivered, movers came and unloaded, and then container was picked up.Easy Peasy!!They were professional, understood our needs, and I loved their on line calculator to pick the right size unit.My only tip is to pick up Rachet Straps from the hardware store to secure items. (About $20.00 for 4 and they don’t have to be very big) It’s a big help. I ran and purchased them. We used them all. But if you have them on hand it’s helpful. We rented our padlock from them.A month storage was included in our rate, so we appreciated that opportunity to delay delivery for renovations. I think it’s a perfect way to move, especially, if you need to do a few things before your things are delivered.Just make sure all your dates line up for drop off and pick up in advance.Our experience was a 10/10!!

I got a quote from them a month ago for a new container with 1-3 week shipping, its been past the time and the only thing I was offered was heavily damaged box for $5000+, 4 weeks after the initial quote.Just go to Secure Rite instead.Why won't you guys respond to me?Edit: They responded about the review in the following morning about this post. It was the first time they actually reached out to contact me!

Delivered in the wrong area wasn’t leveled and was tilted to the left so u felt like u we’re gonna fall over when inside it customer service wouldn’t fix it unless I paid an additional $150 to fix their mistake after having for 1 week without resolution sent box back and cancelled. Went with another company.
