Nine Dumplings Nine Dishes
First up... This amazing little dumpling stand sits upstairs in a semi-deserted shopping mall, and while that doesn't seem very atmospheric, it is the perfect background for what had to be some of the best dumplings I've had in the northern hemisphere. Food is served to plastic food court tables outside the shop as light streams in through the skylights above a derelict looking concourse.This little shop is about 2meters square and run by an old Chinese lady who creates and serves, you've guessed it, 9 different types of dumpling. Dumplings are dough-colour coded as to their contents leading to an intrigue game of guess the code system when eating the dumpling tasting plate.Dumplings are available in normal or spicy sauce (not that spicy but delicious) that is packed with flavour and coats your mouth with flavours you don't want to lose. The dumplings are plump and succulent and packed with delicious ingredients ranging from pork and chive to squid and seafood.I highly recommend this place. It is a dumpling experience reminiscent of china's new territories shopping malls, and to be honest, I'd say just as good as any dumpling I had in Hong Kong. Excellent!

Wow! An awesome find in this food court! I got the dumpling sampler and Szechuan Mala Chicken Cold Noodle. Both were delicious!The dumpling fillings are juicy, tasty, and large. The wrapper is a good thickness and cooked well. I highly recommend getting the spicy" version with the chili oil

The food is all of higher quality and fair price.I ordered the scallop and fish dumpling. The dumpling is extremely good, hand made, thin dough wrap with big fillings which is extremely umami.The fried vegetable fritter is very crispy and light, well done!The various vegetable salad all taste exactly like what they are in China. Flavorful and fresh.Strongly recommend!

Well, I haven't eaten better dumplings in Vancouver yet.We go here often because I love this place!The staff is very friendly and the food is very tasty!Our favorites are pork&chives and pork&cilantro (both spicy and not spicy are great)

Beautiful. I went here on the way to Stanley Park and it was worth the minor diversion. The food was fairly fast in arriving (10 minutes) but I would’ve been happy to wait much longer.I don’t even have the cooking vocabulary to do it justice! There was definitely liquorice in the sauce…next time I visit Vancouver I’ll be back.

Delicious handmade dumplings and friendly customer service in this nondescript mall. Dumpling wrappers were perfect (not too thick) and every bite was juicy and flavorful. We really enjoyed the steamed pork and chive dumplings both with and without the Szechwan spicy sauce.

I have eaten here 4 times in the past and have always had a wonderful experience. The dumplings are always juicy and flavourful. This time around, I had the Dan Dan Mian and it was very authentic. The only thing that can possibly be better than nine dumplings is ten dumplings!

Being a vegetarian and foodie, it is hard to find a vegetarian friendly restaurant serving dumplings and noodles. I loved the vegan dumplings and dan dan noodles. This is going to be my go to comfort food moving on ..
