Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Coquitlam BC

The basement flooded during heavy rain in January. We called Mr Rooter to help us in this emergency. We found them to be professional and quick to respond. The immediate problem was handled and the out side drain was running again. As the restoration was almost finished we asked them to come back and solve the problem so that this would not happen again. Kevin came and gave us some options as our home is older. He outlined what needed to be done to properly diagnose the problem and then gave us options on how to fix it. Kevin was pleasant, knowledgeable and clear about the options including the cost of each. As the work started he was there to give instruction to the technicians. Once the ground was opened up he then explained again what was going on. All the drains around our home were viewed re camera so only the problem area was dug up. The technicians did the job—put down some new drain tile etc. closed up the hole and even replanted my favourite bush! I hope it blooms again. Everything was cleaned up—thank you very much!

Booking was easy and dispatch called back as promised when an earlier appointment came up. Technician Chris was polite, friendly and worked quickly. Would use this company again.

Andre and his partner are extremely unprofessional “plumbers”. Failed to diagnose a leak and would say one thing and then another. Very unsure. Said today was more of an “investigation day” and charged over $1000. They trick you into thinking it’s a small job and say it’s likely only an hour job. Left a huge mess and when asked to clean said they are plumbers not cleaners. Would not recommend to anyone.

Great experience with both the call centre operators and local staff. Sandeep was punctual, polite, professional, didn’t mind my pup checking out what was going on, had excellent communication, and no issue coordinating payment via my landlord, virtually. My kitchen sink had been plugged up for a few days so finally I decided to unscrew the P-pipe to check for a blockage. That piece crumbled in my hands upon touching the bottom of it, resulting in completely new piping to be installed. It’s been working just fine since - thank you all so much!!

I'm a night shift worker and when I called last weekend to book a weekday appointment for my mother in law's condo, they responded to my call within minutes. The lady I spoke to was very understanding and helpful and was able to give me a quote over the phone. The plumber Simran contacted me on the appointment date and advised he was available earlier that day if that worked for me. He was very knowledgeable and explained everything so well so we knew what he was doing and what else needed to be done. I will be calling them back this week for another job because of the wonderful service and quick response! Thank you everyone!

This company will try to take advantage of you. Quoted me 12-16 hours of labour for replacing a water heater, another hour for bringing the heater to your place. That was about $3000 just in labour. Then charged me $200 for “draining” the tank (which the technician left the hose do its job and was outside half the time “talking to his boss”.) I hired a local plumber and he finished the job in 2 hours!!!! Ridiculous!!!

Super super expensive. The dispatch manager butters you up that it's only a one hour job and boom you are left with a $700 bill for 3 hour job that shouldn't be more than an hour or maximum $300. Stay away they extremely expensive and trick people to use their service.

Thank you Kevin, and the rest of the team at Mr. Rooter, for all the work that you have done at our place over these past few months. I really appreciated everyone’s positive attitude, safe work practices, making the site tidy, and getting the job done as quickly as possible.It started with a fairly routine perimeter drain flush and scope. We found that a portion of the drain tile was plugged solid with roots from our rosebushes. We then decided to install a 24 inch drain sump to make cleaning out the system easier in the future. I did not realize that Mr. Rooter was able to do so many civil contractor services. Definitely a one-stop shop.We then had a failure in our stormwater outflow pipe. They came in with a crew right away to dig up the 100 foot long line and replace it with heavy duty ABS pipe. The entire system flows beautifully now and we are not stressed out during heavy rain storms. I would give them five stars except that they do not do landscaping services. I’ll need to fix the lawn and gardens in the spring but the piping issues were all resolved. The other thing is that their prices were a little higher than expected. Even so, I would recommend them and will use them again in the future.

I had clogged drain bath and toilet. I called Mr.Rooter 1~2 hours they called back and other hour later 2 guys came down.They explained what’s condition we are. And they started work on it. For 3 hoursProblem was my house main pipe was bented. I paid $940 I think but I expensive but they were working hard and problem solved. So I’m satisfied their work.Thank you
