Delicious. Amazing pairing menus. Exquisite food and presentation. Slow service but it allows you to enjoy your time and the many servings. Very expensive.

Really amazing fine dining experience. You get to try a seasonal chef’s tasting menu that is prepared by ITHQ hospitality students, so the prices are relatively reasonable compared to regular restaurants of the same caliber, but quality isn’t impaired. Food is always delicious and innovative. Service is top notch. It is possible that some FOH students can make some minor mistakes during service such as forgetting a component of a dish or the specific wine pairing, but they are aware of them and you can see that they are putting effort into the service. This actually even adds to the authenticity of the experience. Already looking forward for the next visit.

Incredible gastronomic experience with Chef Martin Gagne and his 6 course First Nations inspired menu and wine pairing. (Bread a bit too rustic/hard crust). Student service was impeccable. Space is elegant and spacious. Our first time at ITHQ but certainly not our last. Montreal's best kept secret.

This is a teaching restaurant and the menu appears to change monthly. The presentation of the food was definitely attractive, but the taste was hit or miss. Service was impeccable.

A very nice restaurant to go on a date or a business luncheon. They change the menu every so often. The food was creatively delicious. All the ingredients blended so well together. We had two appetizer, two main dishes, two desserts and wine. It all came down to less than $100. The pasta was well done and the lamb was exquisite and melted in the mouth. Would go again to try their new menus.

A great fine dining experience in Montréal that stay affordable !The students are well trained and are there to make your experience the best. The service was impeccable !The restaurant is comfortable and nice looking. You don’t feel too close to other guest.High quality and local ingredients cooked perfectly by the chef. Neat and tasteful aesthetics of the plates. The balance between the protein and the accompaniment is well-balanced. I could enjoy the perfect bite (a bit of everything on the fork) for each dish.A wide wine list, the sommelier will make sure to give you the best pairing.I definitely recommend the place !

Reservation made online was painless. They have a 3 course tasting menu for 39$ Tuesday and Wednesday and a 5 course tasting menu 59$ Thursday to Saturday. The tasting menu changes every day possibly, depending on what's in season, the waiter tells you what is on the menu, it's not written anywhere. You'd only know the day of. The staff is made up of students, graduates of the institute and employees. We were served by a mix of different people, and the service was mixed. We had one that gave us the bread, didn't tell us what it was (and it ended up being bread from a local boulangerie with a special kind of butter, so this needed an intro) I had to stop him to ask him to explain as he was rushing out. He also later spilled water everywhere while serving the water, saw it, but did not clean it up and it wasn't that busy on a Tuesday. At any decent restaurant, I'd note this. On top of this, we're at the institute of hôtellerie and restaurant where I would think, this is more important than anywhere else. For an institute of hôtellerie, the service wasn't out of this world. I'm knocking a star down for this, as in, when I tell friends about this, the service isn't what I'll be impressed with. The food itself was good and inventive as I'd expect and I was not dissapointed. Plating was gorgeous. Everythjng was delicious and tender, my vegetables on my main were a bit too salty though. For our main, we had duck breast and porc fillet (part of the special 3 course tasting menu) and they were both perfectly cooked. The porc fillet was not like anything I've ever had it was so juicy and tender and flavorful, not usually how you'd describe porc. I was very impressed and would go back for another occasion with friends or family for the food. The decor is very cute and the atmosphere is relaxed, it's a slightly more upscale type of restaurant and crowd. There is a small patio where you get to see out but have some privacy, the interior is beautiful. There people on dates, small friends and family gatherings, we saw a few solo people eating outside enjoying a book as well.UPDATE: to the reply of the restaurant to my review, I'm not a dude.... I'm not sure how much time you actually spent reading this review but I'm clearly not a sir.

What an incredible dinner we had here at ITHQ on our first evening of trip to Montreal!Food: The octopus carpaccio, catch of the day (it was halibut this time), and bavarois were especially delicious. Scrumptious amuse-bouche of sea urchin and lobster oil. Special tableside crepe suzette demonstration and chocolate tasting to end on a sweet note.Service: Impeccable.Ambience: Sophisticated but not uncomfortable or intimidating environment. The absolute highlight of the experience were the hardworking students and staff who went above and beyond every step. My partner and I love dining at restaurants at a culinary/hospitality school like this to support the students and experienced hospitality veterans educating the future chefs, sommeliers, general managers, and top tier staff. We will certainly return next time we are in Montreal! Merci beaucoup!

It's exciting to see students in a learning process. I think this is such a cool opportunity. There was some troubles both in services and cuisine which I expected but at some point it was getting a bit much.Negatives:From the start there was no one at the coat locker, I waited a while too. Our waiter was nice but he would systematically drop wine on the table at each pour. For dessert we asked for a cheese plate to share with their four choices of cheese and he just brought separate plates with the same one. He also just left our coffee on a service table further until they got cold. The food was overall very good with impressive presentation. Only today's special main course, the deer was a let down. Overcooked with an unfitting sauce.Positive:It's a gorgeous restaurant! Every staff member does his or her very best with kindness. The maitre D was specially professional and welcoming. The gnochetti were great! Maybe there was a couple hicks but who cares. Great job everyone!
