Northstone Solar

Curran designed and installed our array in October 2021. The panels are producing far beyond our usage and we are banking energy credits.Curran and team also replaced our roof shingles to add longevity to the overall project. We have recommended Northstone Solar many times already and will continue to do so in the future.

We called various solar contractors in the northwest part of Montana and settled on Northstone Solar. We are so happy we did. Dealing with their management and installers throughout the entire process was an incredible experience -- talk about great people. Their proactiveness and follow-up were more than we anticipated. We started with a solar array for our new construction, but will be adding more panels in the future with them doing the work. We cannot speak enough about their expertise, including engineering the project, their electrical forté, working efficiently with my contractor and electrical subcontractor, including engaging the local electric company for sign-off. It was a seamless, very transparent experience with them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Curran and his crew designed and installed a solar system for us, and we couldn't be happier. Their work and the system they installed are exemplary!

We started to look at installing solar panels on our home in late Spring 2020. I contacted 3 companies. Two, simply took a snapshot of our roof from a Google satellite photo, slapped some panels on it and provided a very optimistic “analysis” of the payback period. Lee and Curran with Northstone Solar were different. They actually came out to the house, climbed on the roof, took measurements to determine the actual solar exposure and then provided a realistic analysis of what we might expect for solar production and payback period. Throughout the design and installation process they were detail oriented and treated it like they were putting the system on their own home. They took into account roof loading, the length of electrical runs to minimize losses and the ease of access for a potential future battery installation. The results have been more than we hoped for. We are into our second full year of the system’s operation and from April/May through Jan/Feb our electric bill consists of the basic monthly fee/demand charge all Flathead Electric Coop customers pay and nothing for actual electricity. If you are looking for a solar company that is honest, straightforward and will do the job right the first time, you can’t do better than Northstone Solar!

Northstone Solar installed PV panels on two separate projects for me in the Flathead Valley. They were responsive to phone calls, showed up when they said they would, did a high-quality install in challenging fall weather, charged what they quoted, and were a pleasure to deal with through the entire process. I used another solar company for some of the components, but wish I had dealt exclusively with Northstone in retrospect. Highly recommended.
