Spry Bay Trailhead
Stunning trail! There is a variety of trails and views that you can choose from. Well maintained, highly recommended. Dress well.

Spry Bay Trailhead
Moderate, rocky, wooded trail, but with an ocean view! This trail is a 4km loop trail that hooks onto a longer 8km trail so you have options! The entrance to this trail is very close to the parking lot, just beyond the bathrooms on the right hand side. Lots of look out points. This trail is within the Taylor Head Provincial Park. It loops back onto the beach.

Even in the the cool months the shore line of eastern Nova Scotia is a place to behold....A must for a hike or just a beach stroll.

This is a review for Spry Bay and Headland trails. If you like a muddy, overgrown, poorly marked trail, that has not seen any improvements in over 10 years, look no further! Otherwise, there are better coastal trails that are also much closer to HRM.

Beautiful views on this trail. We only did a short section of the trail to cross the peninsula to see Spry Bay, as I had my very senior dog who had to be carried most of the way. It was very muddy for many sections along this stretch, but was passable (and with the dog in my arms). I intend on returning another day and doing the entire loop.

An in general easy walk with beautiful views and varying terrain. At the time of our visit there were a few trees that had fallen on the trail but they could be navigated without much difficulty (also, update: the trail has been cleared since our visit).
