This is a 4 star hotel that was bought by Marriott and is becoming a 2.5 star hotel. All of the best ideas (like the pantry) have been removed by Marriott. The best amenities, like the tennis court and the squash court, are in disrepair. The location is amazing - right on the water - and you can walk to downtown. The rooms are fine - it’s a Marriott.

Had a family vacation here and had a really wonderful experience. Very ideally located - away from the downtown hustle and bustle but still very close and ocean view is simply amazing. Can get a superb view of the Legislative Building from the windows of the hotel. The staff is very courteous and helpful.

I have to rave about Delta Hotel. Everything here is just perfect and brings so much happiness. The hotel service is exceptionally attentive, and the staff is incredibly friendly. Since we arrived at the hotel before 11 am, after taking the earliest ferry to Victoria, the front desk (a gentle lady with glasses and black hair) kindly prioritized our check-in, promising to accommodate us as soon as a room became available. And they truly delivered on their promise as I was already in the room before noon (originally, check-in time was supposed to be 4 pm). During the waiting period, they even provided a kids' kit to keep my child entertained. They also gave us access cards to the pool, allowing us to relax and swim whenever we wanted. I must say that the hotel lobby itself offers a stunning 180-degree view of the sea. Looking out, we could see the Legislative Assembly of BC, Empress Hotel, and Fisherman's Wharf, all within our sight.Entering the room, we were highly satisfied. The room was spacious enough, with a panoramic view of the sea outside, and we could catch a glimpse of the pool below (useful for deciding whether or not to head downstairs depending on the crowd). Additionally, the room had wooden flooring, which minimized dust and unpleasant odors. I should also mention that the hotel provides unlimited drinking water, which can be requested through room service or directly collected from the front desk. The hotel also has a restaurant and bar called LURE, which had great reviews on Google. We tried their snacks and cocktails (during their happy hour from 3 to 6 pm), and they were all reasonably priced with generous portions and delicious flavors. The hotel has two tennis courts and a well-equipped fitness center, all of which are of good quality. The location is also excellent. Although it requires crossing a bridge to reach the main island, the distance is so close that it can be easily overlooked. Moreover, the view from the other side, overlooking the city's skyline, adds a unique charm.Lastly, there were 2 minor drawbacks. Firstly, the sink drainage was a bit slow, and secondly, the air conditioning sometimes produced a faint noise when set to high. Other than these minor issues, everything was perfect! Oh, and I should mention that overnight parking cost $26, which also included daytime parking, making it quite cost-effective considering parking can be a hassle in Victoria.

The service is impeccable all around. Location is so damn convenient to downtown. It’s an extra 10 minute walk from downtown but the bridge and park makes the walk worth it for the views.Room is very new with great chairs and bedding. I do wish they changed the shower tub tiles because that made it a bit old, but otherwise it’s a comfortable stay.Shoutout to Nicholas and the bellboy on Thursday 7/6 lunchtime for being so considerate and helping us. The bellboy noticed we were waiting since front desk was occupied with the phone lines. Gave us water bottles and asked someone from the back to help us check in. Wished I could tip him but I couldn’t since we didn’t have cash on hand yet and we missed him when we did, so management please give him good reviews/raise if you read this! For Nicholas, one of the best front desk service ever had. Friendly and helpful.

Love staying here. Been coming here for years, even before Marriott took over as owners. Rooms are clean, well appointed and stocked, we were in a newly renovated room and it was very nicely done. Great location on the water with a short walk over the bridge to shops and restaurants or a fun water taxi ride, if you prefer.

Hotel itself is nice and have a good view. However the service isn’t top tier. We are gold elite member and request for room upgrade. They staff said already upgraded to water view deluxe room but when we open the room and like excuse me???? Water view??? We feel being scammed!! We are disappointed because the view is obstructed. This is the UPGRADE they gave very good. Feels like downgrade for real. We arrive 3:30pm and they said they room isn’t ready yet. We are feel not good and our sense is true when we see the room they upgrade to us. First is low floor second there is not privacy at all with facing the street we have to keep curtain closed all time. Also we asking about club lounge access for gold elite member they front desk staff is not clear too and we are confused whether we can access or not then they just told me we can’t need to pay $60/night fee that’s totally different they they replied me in email. Feel not worth to stay here next time will find better hotels

We stayed at the property for two nights with the hope of having a waterfront view room facing downtown. As a platinum member, I am aware that Marriott doesn't prioritize elite members at all, so I decided to use a suite night award to secure the downtown-facing view. Unfortunately, my award was not honored, and a complimentary upgrade was not provided. Instead, we were assigned a room facing the opposite side of downtown. While the view wasn't a major issue for me, it was disappointing that my requests were not met.Upon checking in, I noticed that there were no towels prepared in the room. This was an unusual situation as I have never encountered this before. I immediately called housekeeping, but I ended up grabbing towels from one of the housekeeping carts in the hallway before they arrived.During my visit to the lounge on 3rd floor, the food tasted great, but I was disappointed to find out that the kitchen stopped preparing food 15 minutes before closing time. Considering that this is a resort-like property, I observed a large family with members spanning different generations who could have benefited from more food. However, the kitchen declined to prepare additional servings due to the limited time remaining. This was quite surprising to me, as it is generally not ideal to restrict food availability, especially in the club lounge. Finally, while checking out, one of the elevators was out of service during peak hours from 9-11 AM. There were no signs indicating its unavailability, and as a result, people were queuing up for the remaining two operational elevators. While I understand that equipment can sometimes malfunction, it would have been helpful to have a sign or notice informing guests about the situation to manage their expectations regarding potential delays.Overall, my experience at the hotel was mediocre, leaning towards the negative side. Unless the management takes significant steps to address and improve these issues, I am not sure if I will consider returning to this hotel in the future.

Stayed here for 4 nights a few months ago.Pros:Nice location with beautiful water view behind the hotel.Nice club lounge with tasty food.Friendly helpful staff.Cons/problems:1) The first room I checked into had a plugged bathroom sink, with dirty stuff coming back up from the drain. It was already like that when I first used it. So I asked to switch room.2) The second room was fine, except the hairdryer was quite dirty, the on/off switch was broken.3) After a couple nights I guess people checked into the room next door. I can hear the entire conversation very clearly in the next room because of the connecting doors. At times they were quite noisey. Couldn't get a proper rest.Because of those problems I would have to give it only 3 stars. Otherwise I would rate it 5 stars for sure.
