I freakin hate needles, but donating here was easy! It was my first time, and everyone at this location was super friendly and made sure everything was okay (and it was). Donating isn't as bad as you'd first assume, and the 'pain' is very tolerable. You don't really feel the needle when your sitting, but there is a bit of a sensation when it goes in and when they take it out, but if it can save a life, a little pinprick is worth it!

If you're eligible to donate blood and you haven't done it, you're missing out! It's actually a pretty relaxing and painless experience. If it's your first time, you'll get a sticker that says so, so everyone you meet in the process will explain that much more about what is going on to you.It won't be sore like a flu shot, and if it's done right it probably won't even bruise. You can do it! Save a life!

Such lovely people. Had a great experience from Maureen at the door welcoming me and sorting my lapsed donor card to Roxanne going over my record. The blood donation part was simple with the staff offering lots of information and support (as things have changed quite a bit since I last donated). I reckon I was in and out in about 1/2 an hour. Brilliant.

Everyone there was absolutely lovely, it was my first time donating and they were kind and so helpful. Sara was especially amazing, walking me through the process. She was gentle and kind, and made my experience so much better for it.

I've been donating blood for 6 years, today I came 10 minutes late to the 163 King west location as I had a hard time finding parking. (11:50 appointment, they close at 12) I got there just after 12pm. And they said too bad we're closed. There's a national blood shortage, I constantly see commercials on TV for a need for blood, I just don't get it? Why treat DONORS like this?In December I showed up to my appointment on time only to be told they had canceled the event 30 minutes ago.Cancer patients, car accident victims need people like me and that's why I'll continue to give blood, but there has to be a better way to deliver services then these people, maybe it needs to be overhauled or the Red Cross needs to take over.CBS is consistently disappointing.

Canadian Blood Services, wastes donors time. I completed my questionnaire prior to my appointment this morning and the questionnaire gave me a yes you can donate today. When I arrived and went through the screening process they told me because I had a COVID-19 exposure within 14 days I could not donate today. I aske why the Q-pass said I could. I was told to call 1-888-2-donate. I was on hold for 30 minutes and never got past position #5, their online chat function had no live agents either. Considering the significant demand for blood, I am not sure why Canadian Blood Services would want to waste donors' time by having travel to a location, wait in line only to be told they cannot donate. Canadian Blood Services needs a better system that clearly indicates if you are eligible or not before coming to the location and it cannot be to call the 1-888-2-donate they have no one operating their phone or online system. Unless they change their Q-pass process, I will likely never donate again.

Great location to donate blood on your lunch break if you work in the area. Good to book an appt but never had issues just walking in. Very nice team, they provide snacks afterwards and it's very relaxing. I've been going here for years and they're consistent every time. Easy to access via public transit, parking near by in Metro but expensive for an hour

i made an appointment here to donate blood and it went very smoothly. i felt dizzy after the blood was drawn and they immediately helped me feel better. they provided me with water and snacks and the nurses were so kind. i’m definitely coming back here to donate in the future! i wish i remembered their names so i could give them credit, oh well, next time!

Overall great experience donating for the first time. Everyone was super friendly especially Skip helping post donation! A couple people didn't feel well and the staff was right on it, getting cold cloths, a stretcher, ect.
