Thunderbird Community Centre | Nestled on the east side of Vancouver just east of Broadway and Rupert Street, Thunderbird Community Centre is conveniently attached to Thunderbird Elementary School offering low and no cost recreational opportunities to the immediate neighbourhood. A host of programs and services are offered here for families and all ages from pre-school, school-aged, youth, adults and seniors. Additional amenities at Thunderbird include a Fitness Centre, Computer Lab and Games Room.

We played indoor soccer here, it was fun. The gym is a bit small and good for 8 people and 4 on each team.

Here is another fantastic place in East Van to host a kid's party! Gym time and a large room where you can bring your own food and decorations. There is a parking lot next to the entrance and ample street parking around - a few blocks away from superstore to conveniently pickup missing items for the party!

We only come here for birthday parties. The rooms are big and kids are happy running around during gym time. They seem to change and buy new toys all the time. Also its good to know the money from the rental goes to the community center.

This is a hidden gem! The building may be quite old, but it is very well maintained. We went to play volleyball from 8:30pm-11pm, and there was only a staff at the desk. He was very friendly and even didn't kick us out though we overstayed by a few minutes. I love how this community centre isn't afraid to showcase the Aboriginal spirit like totem poles and traditional drawings.

Came here for my nephew's birthday party on the weekend. Scheduling parties is fairly strict on the timing, so make sure clean up starts 5 minutes before the end time.It's really neat that they setup the gymnasium for children's play zone. The entire gym full of kids running around is a bit crazy, but they all loved it. I'm sure the parents loved it too as they don't need to worry and let them roam around freely.Parking outside in the lot is quite limited with about 12 stalls and 1 handicap stall. Luckily there is street parking.

Great place to have kids parties in the gym. They offer a bouncing castle, giant foam blocks, slides, mini cars, and floor hockey. Afterwards you can have your own room to eat food and cake.

Went for a birthday party. They offered cotton candy machine and popcorn machine which were awesome. Their gym filled with all kinds of kids toys and games, face painting and bouncy castle were totally awesome!
