Mississauga Derry Woods YMCA Child Care Centre

My kids go to Derry Woods and I absolutely LOVE it. I have referred several of my neighbours and friends to register their toddler/preschool kids and siblings to this location because of the incredibly caring and supportive staff, the activities and outdoor playground and the director Anabela Pereira. Anabela is the primary reason I enrolled my kids into this daycare. During covid we were not able to go into the center and/or speak to the staff face to face at pickup drop off. Anabela made me feel so comfortable with my daughters transition into the center and from toddler to preschool. my twins soon joined and all three of my children have thrived under the staffs care here. They have learned so much and are excelling in their learning. I am so grateful for everyone at this center and I cannot say enough good things about the Y, the staff, the director, the programs, the parents. I have even recently recommended this center on a Mississauga Facebook Moms group to let other parents know about this amazing center. Keep up the great work Anabela and Team!!

Fantastic daycare! The facility has been newly renovated inside along with brand new toys, books, beds etc. The staff are beyond amazing and feel like an extension of our family. They go above and beyond in every aspect. Both my kids love going to daycare every day and miss it on weekends.

My son was in the preschool class for a year with this centre. He had a wonderful time. His teachers were very good, kind and loving. He has learnt a lot from here and had an enjoyable time this last one year. He will definitely miss his friends and teachers. The food was balanced and healthy. My son started eating fruits after he went here and because of constant gentle push from his teachers. I am happy we were able to put him here . Thanks to the wonderful team!!

This is an absolutely incredible daycare. Their staff are extremely caring, professional, and knowledgeable. We are so thankful for their dedication throughout the COVID-19 response as they made the best during an extremely difficult time. We have recommended Derrywoods to other neighbours and friends and will be putting our second child into care because of the staff and their dedication to early childhood education. They have had such a huge impact on our family’s life!
