Had very first time visit at the Ace for dinner with friends, we all felt welcomed and enjoyed delicious food. It was amazing how such flavours are created in a narrow tiny space. Our food was a bit delayed and staff offered a salad plate in the meantime - very nice gesture that unfortunately doesn’t happen often these days!Would love to visit again, hopefully be able to book the big table by the window/entrance.

Love the atmosphere. The space has kept its 1950s charm! Food was insanely delicious. Probably the best breakfast in the city.

Unpretentious spot with a casual diner atmosphere serving brunch food. We walked-in for two a little bit past 10AM and there were available spots. The duck confit & wild mushroom toast is criminally delicious — probably one of my favorite savoury brunch meals in the city. Also, the potatos were perfectly done, slightly crispy on the outside yet still soft on the inside. This place is a must-try.

What a grand place! Hidden jem in the quiet Roncesvalles neighborhood far from the downtown chaos you will have a culinary experience surrounded by original decor from the 50ies with a classic diner bar top, and comfortable couch sitting. The dishes are well executed and well presented, I loved that there were many fish options (vegetarian options available too), nevertheless my favorite dish was the pork chop lol.We dined in front of the open kitchen where the chef was sending these beautiful dishes out..what an experience.Great cocktail and wine list too! I ll be back!

Stumbled upon The Ace through a website and we were so glad we went. I see there are tons of reviews here about brunch, but we went for dinner and we LOVED it. The staff were great, they were casual but took good care of us; cocktails were delicious, and of course the dinner…so good. Rotating menu so don’t expect what we had but we had a Smokey eggplant with flatbread - so good and just enough of a kick of spice, mussels - great broth and love the addition of a little bit of meat! And we had pork belly and it was soooo good. Great portions for everything! Thank you so much again. We will definitely come by the next time we’re in Toronto and try brunch (and come back for dinner again!)

The Ace is a place you don't want to miss. Stumbled upon it as we were staying locally at an Airbnb and wanted some brunch. The establishment is small, but wouldn't want it any other way, as it only adds to it's vintage charm and intimate atmosphere. Ordered the Duck Confit & Wild Mushroom toast along with the Ace Benny with smoked salmon and added avocado, neither of which disappointed. My partner affirms it was the best Eggs Benedict he's ever had. Our server Asa, was kind, charismatic and accommodating all while providing exceptional service. In summary - an absolute gem and looking forward to visiting again the next time we're in town!

Nice unique brunch spot. The duck and french toast were great! A bit difficult to book a reservation, place books up fast. Definitely recommend.

The food we got was good but the service was confusing and ridiculous. They took our drink and food orders (apps and entrees) at the same time. We recieved our appetizer before our drink and then they brought us the entrees only minutes later; we weren't even finished our appetizer and still hadn't received our drink order! After we finished with the entrees, we were informed that there was no dessert option as their sous chef had an emergency. All this said, the staff were perfectly friendly and I don't doubt the story about the emergency; I'm just surprised that a dinner service can be planned so poorly and that the rest of the kitchen can't figure out anything to put together a second dessert option in the event of an unexpected departure.

Delicious and quick food!Ideally, you should make a reservation to avoid the wait a this place has a waitlist nearly all the time! But it's worth the wait and the hassle!Girlfriend and I had the 'Ace Benny' and 'French Toast' (respectively; and shown below). They were just the right size for a nice early Valentine's brunch!Recommended for a more compact dining experience, not to mention Roncesvalles is a great location, fullstop!
