GP Peterson and Son Heating Ltd.

G.P. Peterson was the first call I made when I was looking for a quote on a ductless mini-split system. They were one of the first ones that popped up on Google, so I just gave them first crack at it. Originally, I thought the quote was a little high, but when I shopped around a few more quotes, I found out it was pretty much par for the course... In the end, I'm glad I went with them. Here's a few reasons why:-First, on a budget note, pretty much all the other quotes only came with a remote control for the units. Our quote included a hardwired thermostat for each zone. We liked this option better, and felt like it provided a more professional, finished touch in the end product. The stats are also super customizable for an efficient and comfortable experience.-Floyd (owner) was super kind and helpful when he came to do the quote. In fact, I was quite indecisive on how we wanted to do our 2-zone system, so he came twice just to make sure we did things right.-Sue (office) went above and beyond in her customer service. She is hands down the nicest person I've ever dealt with in trades!-There was a miscommunication in the fact that our ceiling cassettes had a couple different fascia panel options, which we only realized after they dropped off the panels at our house. The ones they dropped off were an entirely different look than what we had seen in all the product photos.. When we asked about switching them, we found out that the ones we wanted were actually more money ($125/cassette) than what they had quoted us for. Realizing that there had been some misleading info on all the product materials, they didn't bother charging us the difference and took care of the switch (Sue for the WIN!)-As a small bonus, Floyd bought me lunch the day they were on site installing everything. What a guy!The units have now been running hard all summer, and they seem to be holding up just fine. Even throughout the crazy heatwaves in July, they only added about $20 to my hydro bill!I highly recommend G.P. Peterson!

Professional and responsive service when our furnace broke down and needed repair during a cold snap. Initially had a tech from a different company who misdiagnosed and abandoned the job. We were referred to Peterson and Son who took the time to correctly diagnose the issue, ordered the part and installed as soon as it came in. Sue at the front desk is great and the type of employee any company would want manning their front end. Highly recommend for professional service and for people who take the time to trouble shoot and deal with the issue properly.

The team from GP Peterson arrived promptly and ready to diagnose the issue with our furnace. Floyd was very courteous and professional and with the help of his colleague was able to quickly resolve our problem. No heat is a big deal in the cooler months and GP Peterson got us up and running in record time! Awesome experience.

You want to keep looking. These guys don't want to use any new technology. I believe they aren't interested in upgrading their skills so they will try to persuade you to use cheaper" products. They overcharged for what you get. Worst of all is that it's a pain to communicate with them. Calls are never returned ....and after they get paid
