John Mack - Writer - Self-employed | LinkedIn | In my over 30 years of experience in civil design and drafting, I have been involved in many large projects. These projects include; structural, architectural, civil marine, civil municipal and civil infrastructure. I have taken on numerous roles such as staff management, project management, preliminary and concept design, site inspections, site surveys, preparation of working drawings, preparation of specifications, preparation of tender documents, liaison with clients, contractors, and mentoring junior engineers and drafting staff.

I have extensive experience in the use and adoption of new technologies for both technical engineering and drafting production. Along with my developed skills in Revit, I have advanced knowledge in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Microsoft Office products, including Microsoft Project.

I have always had a keen sense of the use in computer systems within the engineering field. I keep my skills current by partaking in user groups, online training and attending events such as Autodesk University.

I am an advocate for the use of BIM (Building Information Management) to improve deliverables with an eye to the future where those deliverables will drastically change.

In addition to CAD skills I have been involved with TechNova as a counselor.
