Sabor Mix Latino

I was in visiting Victoria and had received recommendations about this place. I love the logo, I thought it was amazing when the drawing/logo looked just like the owner.The owner was such a lovely person and was so kind. The reason why I give it a low rating is the Pupusas and the horchata weren’t that good. Traditionally in El Salvador, the beans in a bean and cheese Pupusa made with refried beans. The pupusas had whole beans. We also ordered revueltas, the pork was red. Not that it was undercooked, but I think it was seasoned pork. It wasn’t very authentic Salvadoran but more of a take on Salvadoran food.

The pupusas are so delicious, I have to order at least one every time. Tacos are also very good and come with a double corn tortilla.

Startlingly aggressively bad. I have no idea how the reviews are so positive. The meat in the asada tacos was both bland and overcooked. The corn torillas were somehow dry and partially crunchy instead of soft and steamy. The onion was very bitter and the only flavor. The tacos were also overfilled, making for giant, dry mouthfuls overpowered by raw onion. The bean side tasted like canned unsalted black beans that had been microwaved for 30 seconds with shreds of tasteless cheese added on top post microwaving, which was totally unmelted. The music in the restaurant was extremely loud. The wait for our tacos was 15 minutes, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. All that raw onion left us feeling sick after. Worst tacos of my life. I did not know it was possible to ruin a taco so badly.

Straight out of Mexico! flavors are amazing and beats the taco place from the up island surf town any day. Queso birria tacos are king.

Had a delicious pork burrito, with very generous portions, heavenly flavours. Ordered ahead for pickup, very easily. Definitely going to go back and check out more of the menu. Love the vibe in there, and the smell is amazing!

Looking for a good place to have a good Saturday brunch with my friend Jose and we found Sabor Mix Latino (opens at 12:00 p.m.), Susie recommended Caldo de Res, which it was amazing, my roots are Latin and I can say this is the real deal if you want to experience Latin food. The space is small and from your table you can experience the aromas of the foods being cooked

I got the chilli pork burrito, it had zero heat and was was 50% rice but still very tasty. Sadly the size was too small and not filling, very disappointing given that it's $17 not including tax and tips.The store owners *BLAST* their music out of a club speaker pointed at the small dining area. I don't know how common this is in Latino restaurants, but it was way louder than other ones I've been to in Vancouver and it was very uncomfortable for me having to sacrifice my hearing for this meal.The service was very cold too. The lady came by once to drop my burrito on the table and immediately left, forgetting I had asked for a glass of water in the order, though she did bring me one after I asked again. In the end I almost regretted giving a tip because of the whole experience.

This was my first time eating pupusas and they did not disappoint! Everything tasted fresh, flavourful, and made with love. I liked the pupusa queso the most! I hear their tacos are also very good. Will have to try next time I'm there....most likely tomorrow.

Really great burritos and tacos! I have been quite a few times and every time the burrito is ever so slightly different but that honestly makes it part of the fun. Every time it’s amazing so no worries. Highly recommend this spot. Everyone who works here is SO nice and very welcoming. Love this spot!

The absolute best Mexican spot in town! Nothing beats it. I’m from Los Angeles and have some high standards when it comes to Mexican food… this definitely hit the spot and felt like I hit the jackpot!They are really well known for their killer pupusas. Both that and their carne asada burrito were addictingly good!!! Even my vegetarian friend loved his food!The staff were so personable and very friendly with both service and suggestions. Definitely worth a visit and I will be a regular here!
