Semiahmoo Academy of Music

I thought learning a new instrument would be fun, but my teacher was super mean to me, insulting me and yelling at me every lesson. Because school started and I’m in my senior years so there’s a lot of pressure and a lot of homework that teachers give me and I’m really trying to keep up with my playing. Still every class my teacher gets mad at me and insults me saying I don’t put any effort in my playing, but I’ve actually been practicing and squishing in as much time that I have in to practicing and I’m trying my best. My teacher made me loose interest into playing a new instrument and now I really just want to quit. Like you could at least be nicer, not all students learn good under pressure.

I have played piano for almost 10 years, 9 of those at Semiahmoo Academy of Music. Tatiana has been my teacher for 5 years and not once have I been disappointed with her teaching methods. She provides fantastic constructive criticism and I feel that I have improved significantly since Level 7 (currently studying ARCT). Would recommend to students of all levels and ages.

Amazing teachers. The building is always clean, big classrooms with great pianos.

I have been taking lessons here for 3 years. Cheryl is an amazing teacher who helped me improve faster than I thought I ever could. I would recommend students of all levels to study at Semiahmoo Academy of Music.

My son has been attending Semiahmoo Academy of Music for 8 years now and he is doing so incredibly well. The teachers are amazing. I will never send my son anywhere else. Ilona
