Been coming to this academy to learn Mandarin for few months now and it's really helped me improve. I love the most that they are so flexible with my husband and my work and vacation schedules. If you are looking for a place to learn more about chinese TCA is definitely the place for you. TCA have all the elements to help you study well and improve your Chinese. All the teachers here are very enthusiastic and friendly and they are always ready to support and help you if you have difficulty. In addition, you have very flexible study hours here, they also offer in person class and online class. After studying here for about two years my Chinese has improved a lot. After studying in Taiwan for a year I was afraid I would forget what I had learned so I tried out a few mandarin schools in Toronto. After a few bad fits I found the Toronto Chinese Academy. Amy and the other teachers have been great at not only keeping up my mandarin but really challenging me with personalized lessons and vocabulary. The schools are very professional and orientated for adults who want to succeed. I highly recommend them to anyone seriously wanting to study Chinese.

I have always been fascinated by the Chinese culture. In fact, I think China has the most rich and profound culture in the world. I have visited many cities in China, met fascinating people and made friends but sadly I could not communicate with them in Mandarin. I always thought Mandarin was the most difficult language to learn and I did not think I could find the time with my super busy schedule to learn a new language. Last year, I decided to embark on this new challenge and contacted the Toronto Chinese Academy and enquired about the possibility of learning Mandarin. I was so nervous during the placement interview as I did not know a single word in mandarin besides “xiexie”. Hong Laoshi was so encouraging and funny that I immediately signed for my first 10-lesson. I never regretted it. I am now at lesson #50 and I enjoy each lesson. Hong Laoshi is amazing. She is passionate for the Chinese language, teaching, and learning. She never begrudges the time or energy she invests to advance my learning. She makes the lessons engaging, interesting, and funny while maintaining high expectations. I am a Professor myself, so I know that we all constantly struggle to improve our teaching. Hong Laoshi is accessible, resourceful, challenging and motivating. As the Director of Toronto Chinese Academy, Hong Laoshi developed an exciting learning curriculum and built an extraordinary team of teachers. I am extremely lucky to have found the Toronto Chinese Academy. If I had to give Hong Laoshi and the Toronto Chinese Academy a score, I would give A+++.Celine M. I would highly recommend Toronto Chinese Academy for those that are looking to learn Mandarin. I have been studying with them for 5+ years now. I started like most people, not being able to communicate at all in Mandarin. Over my time with Toronto Chinese Academy, the classes have been fun and engaging. They make it easy for you to pick up the language.I am a Full Time Real Estate Agent and wasn't able to speak to many clients in Mandarin, today I am able to help my Chinese speaking clients feel comfortable by speaking with them in their native tongue.I would not hesitate to choose Toronto Chinese Academy again if I had my choice.
