Mi Tierra Latina Grocery

Visited on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 around noon.It is a new store in the heart of DT Vancouver to celebrate diversity. According to the person in charge, they open daily, including weekends.A very nice touch of this place is the celebration of Latin culture. Items are mostly gathered in clusters of country of origin if you want to find something in particular. Also, each section has a succinct and nicely displayed information about each country where you can see some of their products.They can provide you with ingredients to let you shine by making a dish from scratch or also allow you to 'cheat' a little bit with sauces and small shortcuts around. Price of most popular products are inexpensive or at least, they are not more expensive than other locations in town.I will certainly come back to explore and try many options around. They have a very generous display of frozen products to let your imagination fly in times when 'non essential' travelling seems to be a concept from another generation.You will be able to find also, not only edibles, from ready made dishes to ice cream, frozen fruits or popsicles but also toys, kitchen utensils and religious items.I truly hope they can thrive and add to the concept of true diversity in this city.Fingers crossed...!

Went for the first and last time.Got some food and when at home noticed they were expired! One item expired over 6 months, not cool.I can understand the expiry date can wiggle a bit and smell or taste the product, but 6 months just ew.

This is where i get all my ingredients for my delicious Mexican meals i cook! The have a big variety of Mexican ingredients. The staff is very friendly. Super recomended

Happy for this store to have opened!There are a large variety of products and frozen foods. Also they have amazing Piñatas! I was in awe when I found Cri-Cri and Multigrain Harina Pan. Venezuelans they got Casabe too!For those who love spicy they sell locally made really good ones, and they got a good selection of cheeses and pulp fruit to make juices.

I felt like I was in a Latin American market...it is amazing. You will see some pretty rare things here (including Argentinian, Brazilian foods) esp the specialty cheeses. Rarely have I felt surrounded by such exciting ideas for recipes. What do I do with date palm in brine? And they have some great frozen foods with three kinds of chorizo (two of which I'd not seen before).My one complaint, the male store employee on saturday was not wearing a mask but when I returned for more things on Sunday, the young Columbian woman was. And charming, both of them. Very, very informative.

Excellent little store full of products from South America. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Selection of imported goods is very impressive. I'm looking forward to future visits as the prices are very reasonable.

Nice tidy Latin grocer with just the right amount of those hard to find items for cooking. Found a yellow pepper paste Ive been needing forever. The shop person was very nice & quick to help.

The Colombian man who helped me was very kind and patient. The guava popsicle was really really good. The hours are good. My feedback would be to have samples (like of the dried mango w chamoy etc, have more fresh options, also don’t know why they opened across another Mexican store. It’s also sometimes a little pricier.
