Eric is such a nice guy and I trust him completely with my vehicle. He would never over charge and is crystal clear when discussing payments and what the car needs. The name Carma makes perfect sense, I would highly recommend taking your vehicle to him!

Sadly, the automotive repair industry has a reputation that is not one to be desired. There have been numerous exposes and documentaries on how both dealership and independent repair shops mistreat their customers...from up-selling of unnecessary repairs to more extreme behaviours. The goals of any consumer shopping for an automotive reapir shop are likely aligned to my own, and, in my humble opinion, are not unreasonable: honesty, competency, and value for money. In Eric, we have found all three. As many others have noted, Eric takes the time to explain in detail what precisely has been serviced, replaced and/or repaired on your vehicle, which is a comfort. He does not try to up-sell his customers, rather offering recommendations of service(s) that may be necessary in a future visit. Safety of his customers is one of his number 1 priorities and the reason why, coupled with the preceding, he will have our business in the foreseeable future. Thank you, Eric!

We had a great experience with Carma Automotive. As our engine lights went on with some rattling sound after driving in a wrong mode on highway, we carefully looked for a high rating automotive repair service providers on google map. After makinga couple of calls, Carma is the only one that make us feel they are taking customers seriously. Eric listened to our issues and asked us questions in details, provided a brief advice on what he can check for us over the phone. And even though he had appointments full scheduled, he offered us a 15 mins ahead of his business opening hours the next day to help us check our car. This is super kind of him. Also, he explained things to us in a way that we can understand, and didn't take any fees for diagnosing, his quotation for the repair was also very reasonable. Although this shop is 20 mins from home, not the closest choice but definitely worth it!

Our engine wouldn’t start and we were stuck in a difficult situation. Eric was the only one who would help us, out of all of the mechanics I called in Richmond. He turned out to be so knowledgeable, honest, and kind. He didn’t charge us even after running a bunch of tests in his off-hours in the evening. He is the best!

Eric was not able to fit me in for an appointment in time for my needs, but still took the time to ask me several questions over the phone to give me a provisional diagnosis of the issue my vehicle was having. He also offered to test drive the car with me, free of charge, and with zero obligation to book with him.It's a shame I had such an urgent item requiring fixing with my vehicle, and ended up having to take my car elsewhere, but I will certainly strongly consider Eric for any future needs just based on the great customer service alone. Highly recommend Carma Automotive for being trusted, honest, very professional and reasonable price.I had an issue with my car suspension and Eric diagnosed the problem successfully but because he is honest and proffessional, he asked me to inspect first with dealership if they recall this problem.I took his advice took my car to dealership and Eric was totally right, they confirmed same diagnosis which Eric found and surprisingly this issue was recalled by the dealership and they fix it free of cost.I went back to Eric thanked him for his advice and offered him to pay for his diagnosis fees which took him more than 1 hour from his time, but he refused to charge me any fees.Thank you Eric for being very friendly supportive!

From 1 dad to another, this is where you want to take your car for servicing. It's really rare to find an honest mechanic these days and Eric is one of those guys. We have been been taking our cars to him for years now. And he has always tried to save us money whenever he could. But at the end of the day he still charges standard mechanic wages, which we are more than happy to pay for the top notch quality, honesty, reliability, dependability & friendliness. Dad advice: always know a good lawyer, doctor, mechanic, handyman, computer guy & a good friend. If you come to Carma, you can cross 2 off the list. I drive my car for business purposes, so I had business insurance and I had goldstar. Long story short. ERIC is SUCH a STAND UP guy!!! I told ICBC I wanted to take my car here as this is my regular mechanic. Eric did all the research like he normally does before he actually starts any work and calls me back to give me his best guess with his quote. This one took a lot longer than normal. When he did get back to me, he actually suggested I go DIRECTLY to Applewood Mitsubishi! No one wants to turn away business especially an ICBC claim, but Catalytic Convertors are in very short supply and the wait time could be weeks even months. But a dealership might have a better connection. He knew that my family would be forced to share 1 car until this is resolved and my wife and I work in different cities.- posted a photo of my stolen catalytic convertor- finally got it repaired just before St.Patrick DayThat my friend, is putting your customer's need before yours!It's all in the name.
