A hidden gem. This place rocks an amazingly unique food experience with flavours that will delight. They even have a fruity beer and lager on tap that please most pallets. A must!

I don’t think I’ve been to a better restaurant in my life. The food, the hospitality and the service. Absolutely perfect!Ordered the Masala Fries, The Serena Chicken, biryani and Meat Platter. Every single food item was so spectacularly seasoned, with complex flavours that felt homely. They’ve really outdone themselves. Will be coming back soon.Bonus points for never letting my glass be empty. I have been yearning for this kind of fine service and hospitality. The male owner is kind with a lot of history and conversation to share. Fantastic!

Very nice and delicious food. The staff is very helpful and the owner Nas a very nice and friendly person that want you to have a good and comfortable experience a the restaurant. Being from Southamerica didn't know about this cousine from East Africa and India. Now, got in love with it! Thanks for a very good time.

Owner/Manager was very accommodating.He checked up on me and my friend at the right times. He made sure our glass waters were always full. He took the time to talk to us and introduce us new ways to eat.We had goat curry, masala tilapia, appy platter and Chai tea. The typical dishes weren't just like any other curry dishes you get from other Indian restaurants. The food here had good flavor and it felt homey. Everything was just right. Found myself putting more food into my mouth even when I was full.Washroom was clean. Restaurant was nice and clean. Decor is beautiful.

This was my first time at Cayenne. I would definitely recommend this place! The owner (whose name I unfortunately did not get) was wonderful! From the minute we walked in and until we left, he made sure we were well taken care of. I was a part of a big group that made a last-minute reservation which they were able to accommodate. Everyone was extremely patient as we were waiting for half of our party to show up. We didn’t have any starters, so we dove straight into the main courses.1. Chicken Serena- the chicken was really tender with a nice tomato-based sauce on top. The sauce wasn’t too tangy or sweet and it was flavored very nicely with African herbs/spices. I ordered mine with a side of masala potatoes which were delicious.2. Chicken biryani- thought this was good but I’ve had even better at south Indian places.3. Chicken Rafiki- This was the star of the show. Amazing! Chicken was cooked in tomato and coconut milk/curry. Served with naan. This was delicious. You couldn’t taste the coconut, but it worked really well in this dish. There is a hint of spice at the end but nothing intolerable. I would go back for this dish alone!4. Love at first bite chocolate cake- this was good! The chocolate cake was perfect!

What a hidden jam......halal restaurant....we ordered grill beef ribs , grill lamb chops and okra...Absolutely delicious and on top of that we ordered chocolate cake for dessert....totally delicious. The service was excellent by Harmet and the owners shared there story. It will be our restaurant to go now onwards.

Was there for lunch. Very peaceful and clean. Ordered lam chops and chicken tikka. Both was delicious and tasty. But served rice 5 minutes late. I was almost done half of my chicken plate. Also, I need thanks for their customer service which was excellent.

The Goat biryani was the best I ever had in Vancouver. The meat was perfectly cooked. The Kadai Chicken was delicious as well but could have used some extra spice flavors. The mango lassi was a little less sweet for me so I added a packet of raw sugar to it. Overall a money spent well experience and a special shout-out to the owner for checking out personally on every table if everything was going well even when it was busy. Would go here again most def. Next time I plan to try the masala aloo potato and Kashmiri chicken.

I recently visited Cayenne Bistro and Grill with my friends and had the pleasure of trying their Choma Platter. I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the meat was cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, making it great for sharing with friends. The ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting, creating a wonderful dining atmosphere. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. I highly recommend Cayenne Bistro and Grill to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience with excellent food and service. I can’t wait to visit again and try more of their mouthwatering dishes!

Cayenne Bistro and Grill
Amazing food and service! Had an incredible experience dining at the family owned Cayenne Grill - owners were wonderful people! Food was authentically East African. I ordered the Choma platter, with beef ribs, mishkaki and chicken - very tender and flavourful. Also had the mogo appetizer which was very good! Highly recommended to anyone in the Vancouver area!
