Athlete's Care Sports Medicine Centres - Richmond & John

Really love this centre. I started strength training during the pandemic and somehow hurt myself every now and then but I’ve always made a quick recovery with the help of the physiotherapists and massage therapists at this athletes care centre. The staff are really nice and polite. They always try and accommodate my work schedule which I can admit can be kind of wild and I’m so appreciative of them trying to schedule me in regardless. My physiotherapist does make me work out a bit as part of my therapy so I’m glad this centre has all that equipment. It’s super clean as a rule here. Highly recommend, 10/10.

I have been coming to Athlete’s Care on Richmond for over a year. Appointments are always on time, the reception staff are so friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and the facility is well kept. . My physiotherapist, Omar, is awesome. He is knowledgeable and personable -and I’m confident the rest of the team is too! I would recommend this place to others!

I'm so grateful to the staff and especially Dayna for mending me back to normal. She was very attentive to my issues and gave me a very comprehensive treatment during our sessions and to take away in between sessions. Golf and Skiing was very important for me to get back into and I'm back at it 100% thanks to Dayna!

I've been working with a physio/chiro/RMT for the majority of my adult life as an athlete, and after suffering a bad knee injury (ACL reconstruction meniscus tear) I consulted with a couple of my kinesiology/health sci grad friends for an athlete-specific practice and was lead here. I must say that this has been the best experience for my body. I've worked with Omar Rasheed for over a year now and he has helped me make significant gains as I work towards rehabilitation, and has gone above an beyond when I ask questions outside of appointment hours". I'd highly recommend for any athlete that is looking for more than a general holistic practice."

My physiotherapist was Gabriela and she really helped me with my upper and lower back pain. I appreciated how she diagnosed the root of my muscle pain by checking things like my posture and gait, then gave me manageable exercises to work on. The acupuncture during the sessions also really helped. This was my first time doing physio, but Gabriela is super friendly so I was always comfortable and looked forward to my sessions.

Omar and the team at athletes care are some of the best I have encountered. Knowledgeable, kind, patient and supportive through my journey of healing a rotator cuff injury. The entire team is personable and an absolute pleasure to work with. More clinics not in the physio space, and in health care should be like this. From day one Omar made me feel comfortable and educated me on the injury and gave me realistic guidelines to aide in my healing, it didn’t feel like I was talking to just a medical professional, but also a friend who genuinely cares about my health and progress.

James Kim is the best physio I have ever had (and I have had many)! After suffering from severe shin splints about two weeks out from my half marathon, he had me back up and ready to go with time to spare. The facility and staff are excellent. Recommend to any & all - especially runners. The return to training programs have proven to be incredible helpful and effective.

I saw Gabby at Athlete’s Care for about 4 months for rehab and physio after undergoing 2 surgeries for a torn pec muscle.Gabby was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and used a variety of techniques to aid in my recovery. She also taught me various exercises at different stages of my recovery to do on my own to help me regain my strength and mobility. Gabby is also very kind and friendly, and made me feel right at home during an otherwise scary time after a bad injury.The facility is clean and modern with all the equipment you could need for physio, and the reception and staff are very friendly as well.I would confidently recommend Athlete’s Care and Gabby to any friends, family, or anyone who needs physio. Great experience 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

I've had a great experience so far and Dan is the best physiotherapist I've ever had! His conversations distract from any pain the physio brings and he is highly educated on healing sports injuries. Dan makes having needles poked into you not so bad! Thanks Dan :)

I have been going to Athlete’s Care Richmond for ACL surgery rehab for 2 months. I switched over from another physiotherapist after 3 months of not making much progress and losing confidence. After switching here my progress sped up a lot and I regained my trust in physiotherapy. Omar is very knowledgeable and cares about a lot of small details that my previous PT did not notice. Our sessions never start late, very time effective use of the 30 minutes, and he is very friendly and motivating. The facility is clean and spacious, and the front desk person is also very nice. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sports physiotherapist.
