The Salvation Army Thrift Store
Probably one of the worst thrift stores that I have shopped at. Small location with not much to rummage through. Left pretty quickly. I wouldn't recommend anyone make a special trip to this location.

It's getting expensive. Few item like insulated water bottles and thermostats and few toys didn't even work after changing batteries..But good collection and kind customer service

I'm not a big fan of the Salvation Army as an entity due to some of their less-than-kind policies, but this individual location is quite nice! It was clean and well lit, I got three shirts for $12 which seems like a good deal to me. I've only been there the once so far but I can definitely see myself returning in the future.

Store used to be a good place to shop and generally a good place in the Parkdale neighborhood. It is neither of these things any more. Merchandise is generally crummy and overpriced and selection is poor. But these things could be a problem of supply. This store has worse problems. Its vibe stinks. Hit and miss with staff, and the volunteers behave as if customers are an inconvenience. Perhaps the latter just don't want to be there (the volunteers, I mean), a perfectly understandable position given that they're virtually slave labor. Too bad.Staff - and volunteers too - used to be happier and a lot more engaging and did not take themselves too seriously to enjoy a joke - but no longer. As have other reviewer, I've noticed the preferential treatment given to some of the less savory dealers around here. This can't help the atmosphere. It's pretty disgusting really. It doesn't have to be this way. Compare Value Village - just over on Bloor. Despite being for profit" (or because it is?) - it has a much better vibe. Value Village staff (no volunteers

As of today June 4, 2022 the change rooms are still closed not just at this location but others as well. COVID is no excuse given that every other clothing store on the planet has been allowing customers to try on cloths since sometime last summer. This also leads to customers trying on cloths in the middle of the store. Frankly if I can go into your store without a mask then change rooms should be open, if you were genuinely concerned about public safety you would just keep your doors closed but you’re not, your allowing people to try on cloths outside of the change rooms and you are allowing customers to walk around without masks (which I personally have no problem with). Therefore, the only reason the change rooms are closed is you just do not want the added labour of clearing a change room, A store with a no refund policy should have open change rooms.

Plenty of books, though they’re not sorted so you have to look through all the shelves one at a time. Ties are cheap, while other thrift stores tend to gouge you. Definitely worth popping by if you’re in the neighbourhood, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.
