Chartwell Langley Gardens Retirement Residence

Chartwell Langley Gardens is proving to be a great choice in terms of a care home for my 88 year old mother. She has been in the independent living area for almost 2 years. We have found Langley Gardens to be a perfect fit for my mother, she's very happy there. It's comforting to know that my mother is in a safe, well maintained care home with caring staff. A special shout out to Irene Garcia for all she does, Irene goes that extra mile". She's wonderful and we appreciate everything she and the rest of the Langley Gardens' staff do for my mother. A highly rated care home for sure in my opinion."

Our loved one Joy, has been in care on the third floor of Langley Gardens for four months.From the day of admission we have felt welcomed. I have been living at Langley Gardens for 9 months now. So far, it's been really a great experience. I met new friends. I like the food. I enjoy the activities. It would be better though if we have more activities happening after supper. I look forward to our bus outings, always an enjoyable experience! I met our new Activities Manager, Alanna.The staff are all so friendly and caring, from the hourly staff to the managers. I developed a special friendship with nurse Irene. She always has a friendly smile for everyone. Her office is right beside my beautiful suite. Our building is accessible to the pharmacy, doctor's and dental offices, restaurants, shops and thrift store and the mall. I will definitely recommend Langley Gardens to my friends and anyone looking to move to a retirement home.

We have had the most positive experience in moving our mom into Chartwell Langley Gardens in Walnut Grove. The 1-bedroom suite is bright and cheerful and already feels like home to our mom. The staff - especially Mia and Irene have been extremely helpful in making this challenging experience of moving so much better than we thought it would be. We also are so impressed with the kindness and friendliness of the residents that we have met during this process.

The staff at Langley Gardens are exceptional! Our parents were moved to Memory Living a few months ago. This was a big move for them, but they have adapted beautifully. Thank you to the staff for helping them ease into their new home and way of living. We are relieved to know that our parents are getting the care and support they need and we are comforted in knowing that they are safe and happy. We are grateful for the level of care that our parents are receiving from the staff at Langley Gardens. Our parents seem so happy whenever we speak with them. They are thoroughly enjoying the activities and meals they are receiving. On a personal note, the staff at Langley Gardens call me by name and are always willing to help with my requests. We could not ask for more. We are also grateful for the management and staff as they navigate through these challenging times. The Langley Gardens management have put in protocols to keep the staff and residents safe during the COVID pandemic. We appreciate the quick actions they have taken to protect everyone at this seniors residence. Thank you!

My 91 year old mother, Eileen, has been in the loving care of Irene and the staff at Langley Gardens Assisted living for the past 6 months. Everyone has been so kind and helpful from the welcoming process of moving into the complex to the establishing of routines to care for Mom. As her needs have grown, the staff have often take the iniative to help above and beyond the care plan in place and are doing all they can to involve her in activities and help develop social connections to enrich her life. We are so fortunate to have found such a warm, caring environment for Mom. Thank you to all to all the staff for your encouragement and guidance.

My Mom, Gabriella, has been at CHARTWELL Langley Gardens independant living for 4 years. She is very happy there and the care and activities are good. As mom’s needs change the beauty of this place is my mom can age in place and we can layer on required services as needed. Shout out to Irene Garcia, the Health & Wellness Manager who is kind, caring and in tune with the family. ❤️ At 87 she’s taken up painting!!! Who knew?????

We want to thank Chartwell Langley Gardens for the many years of dedicated service to my mom, Nan Penner, who lived in Langley Gardens for 10 years. First in Independent Living and then moved up to the Long Term Care.We have nothing but gratitude and thanks to the staff for all the kindness and tender care she received over the years. We have nothing but praise for the entire staff. Particularily, we would like to thank Teresa Alfier and Kim Lougheed and the staff on the third floor for making the last days of my mom's life as comfortable and peaceful as possible. We were treated with such kindness and hospitality as we spent the last days at my mom's bedside. We were given food and drinks and many of the staff came to say how sincerely sorry they were for our loss.Thank you very much.Brian Crow

I had a great experience when I visited Chartwell Langley Gardens for preceptorship orientation for me and my HCA students. The atmosphere was very welcoming. We were warmly greeted by the front desk staff, toured around the facility and oriented by the very accommodating and supportive Health and Wellness Manager Irene. The staff on the floor were very friendly. I noticed that residents were happy and contented. I will always remember the sweet smile on their faces.
