Sawmill Golf Course

This course in my opinion is the best in the area. Fairways and greens are always in top condition. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. There are waiting lists not only for memberships but for leagues.

Suddenly a huge fan of this place !! Just started playing it this year. The course is fantastic, terrific shape , challenging at times, greens are great. The person that owns it is a beauty and the staff is super friendly oh and they offer a Junior golf camp I hope to get my daughter in!

Great golf course hidden in the heart of the region, very beautiful layout to the golf course! Played the course during the summer and the fall, everything is always well maintained!Greens have a quicker pace to them, fairways play very nice, the sand traps are well groomed! The tee boxes could be a little more even and a little more maintained, but it seemed like the work was being put in towards the end of the season!Very friendly staff, great food always available, beautiful patio near the 1st and 10th tee boxes! Would definitely recommend to any golfer!Got to see a huge snapping turtle off the 18th fairway!

We were at Sawmill for Friday evening music. Service was good. We had great fish and chips.

Played a round of golf in late October, the course was still in great shape even late into the season.The course is challenging and scenic. The staff are nice and helpful.I think they need to add a better direction to where the 10th tee is.But overall great experience, will definitely go back and recommend to others.

My husband and I were new to the area and wanted to meet people in the area. We find sawmills fellow golfers to be a pleasure to golf with no matter how good or bad our games are. The staff are amazing and find a way to have a personal interaction with every golfer they talk to. Ground crew keep the course looking great all season, but their revenge is sought out once a year with a whacky tournament. The fact that staff return year after year speaks volumes about the owners Jeremy and Carrie Julie, and how much of themselves they give to make a place where others can come and make new friends. We are both so glad we found such a treasure.Oh yah almost forgot the course is changing but fair, conditions I would rate an 8 out of 10 for a private course but a solid 10 for a semi private course.

I’ve had some great experiences at this course! Beautiful greens, great staff, and their lessons are very helpful as well. Will definitely be coming back throughout my golfing years

Poorly treated by the pro shop. Booked online for one price. Expected to pay a different price (15$) more when I arrived. Tee’d off 15 minutes late and took 5 hours to play through as we waited at each block. Poorly managed course and poorly maintained as multiple greens were under construction or poorly cut. Don’t waste your money here

We played August 31 - the course was extremely busy and we ended up going off on the 10th tee. The pace of play was on the slow side and it took almost 4 1/2 hours to play 18 holes.The course has excellent practise facilities including a driving range, multiple flagged targets, a chipping green where you can even practise bunker shots, and of course a separate putting green.I hadn’t played here in over 20 years - honestly couldn’t remember a single hole. I found the course in so so shape - some bare/brown fairway areas and the greens on the front nine had been aerated but not as yet filled with sand. In fact the greens were hard and fast. Putting was an adventure; firm putts could go 6 feet by the hole and slow pace putts wouldn’t hold the line due to bumpy greens.There are multiple tee blocks for the men that can accommodate all skill levels ranging from 6,572 yards (slope of 128) to 5,189 yards (slope of 119). There are fairway bunkers, tree lined fairways, ponds and creeks to make this a challenging course.We paid the $48 seniors rate for 18 holes including a cart. That is mid-range for what we have been paying in this Covid-19 impacted season. This is fair value, relatively speaking in a year in which demand at golf courses has spiked higher and rates at some courses have increased a lot to capitalize
