Amber Meadow

My name is Michael Czuboka. I was asked by Historica Canada to give a talk to the residents of Amber Meadow on Sunday, May 8th, 2016. Elizabeth Alba of Amber Meadow told me during a telephone conversation last Thursday that a gentleman by the name of Jeff would meet me when arrived. I arrived precisely at 11:00 a.m. as directed. I found Jeff in his office but he did not know who I was or why I had arrived. He said that many residents were away because of Mothers' Day, and that I would have to wait until 12:30 p.m., 90 minutes later, to see if anyone would attend my talk. After further discussion we agreed that there was not much point in me waiting, and I left. I left Jeff a complimentary copy of my new novel Manifest Destiny"

My parents lived here for a short time. We have had nothing but a positive experience. Management and staff were excellent

This assisted living is excellent. The staff is friendly and very helpful to family and residents. The food given is homemade and very good.One of the better places for anyone to live. I would highly recommend this place.

Make sure you understand everything you are signing before you place your loved ones in this place, they are snakes and sleazy salesman" who will tell anything to get you to sign a lease.If your loved one decides to leave you will be charged an extra month even though they won't be living here.My dad will be leaving this month (April 2022) and is forced to pay $2800 for May as well

I had been here at Amber Meadow in 2019-2020 with my late husband. Now Im back here living because I find the following:- all facilities are clean- all staff members are efficient and friendly- the building is beautifully and architecturally design with yellow paint-the location is close to Garden city-the food is good_ entertainment is provided- transportation is provided- I’m happy living with my co- residents

Great staff and team there. The residents were playing music and having a nice evening show one evening and the members seemed happy listening to some old classics.

horrible horrible foodmother on a low sodium diet and everything is loaded with saltfruit that they put out is old and rotten never ever fresh, can't believe what we pay on a monthly basis and what is received.We grocery shop weekly for our mom and purchase fresh fruit, milk, bread, etc make meals for her that she can make in her microwave.

This assisted living facility has always gone the extra mile taking very good care of all of there tenants especially during Covid.They have kept everyone safe during these scary times by implementing strict rules and staff going the extra mile. Thank you all for taking such good care of our mother.

The food at Amber Meadow has become increasingly bad. Some is not edible. They must have a farm that specializes in green beens because it seems to be a daily diet.They used to be a place where they were noted for excellent food. Either the previous Chef has died or forgotten how to cook.Personally I think they are cutting corners on the food at the the expense of the residents to increase corporate profits.Think twice before moving here.
