I believe this is the worst pharmacy in Guelph, possibly in OntarioThey never answer the phoneThey say prescriptions will be ready but are not. I’ve had to follow up for my sons prescriptions over 3 times over a few weeks! They did not call when it was finally ready. I found out by going in.They give you the feeling you are bothering them when you go in to pick up a prescription or need to ask a question about your prescription.I will be changing after being with this pharmacy since living in Guelph, over 20 years. Recommend Pharmasave for much better service and caring pharmacists and assistants. When dealing with meds you want a feeling of trust and taking care of you. This pharmacy does not give you that feeling at all

We have been a customer at this store since it moved into the neighbourhood. The pharmacy service is horrible. When you call, they don’t pick up and your on hold forever before anyone answers. When they do pick up, the service is so poor. No one can answer your questions or help. I signed up for the automated prescription refills and for the last 2 years I don’t get the reminder for an important prescription. I have called about this and been told every time (4 times) by the staff and pharmacists that it’s now set up correctly in the system and I won’t have this problem again and my prescription will be automatically refilled automatically. Yet, It happened again and now I don’t have my prescription. I don’t have a problem refilling my own prescription via automated phone service but shoppers offers the service to do this so I trust it’s taken care of. In addition, our daughter was sick for years with strep throat and the doctor would fax the prescription directly to this location and when we would go pick it up, it was always still sitting in the fax machine. We are moving our service to another pharmacy but I want Gary the owner to know, you, your business and your pharmacy have provided terrible service for so many years and we continued to stay, Tomorrow, I transfer my family’s prescription to another pharmacy. We are fed up with the lack of care for our health.

Am I being punked? Clearly I don’t learn but we are now switching pharmacies. The pharmacy service is unprofessional and terrible in general. I’ve had problems the last 5 times I’ve picked up medication. Renewed on the app, received text and email confirmation but the prescription is not ready AGAIN. Don’t bother showing the pharmacist your written confirmation. The reply will be condescending and he will act like it’s your fault. After two times another pharmacy employee told me they have major problems with their online renewal system! Vindicated! Don’t bother calling in and speaking to a person who will tell you the prescription will be ready because it won’t be. When there are errors I would expect a simple apology. Not here. They’re not sorry for the inconvenience or incompetence. Finally done! The beauty advisors are friendly but otherwise don’t waste your time here. I know I won’t be anymore.

go somewhere else, anywhere else, the owner Gary Daniels of this pharmacy has given up on the once respectable professional service he provided. He has no integrity and the woman he has hired is unprofessional and incompetent. they wont help you, they wont call you back, they don't answer the phone because it always busy, go in to find out the pharmacist is on the phone keeping the line busy with personal calls. they lie about not receiving paperwork and will not follow up properly.I was told me to take my prescriptions across the street? Petsmart?I went to the pharmacy at grocery store in the same parking lot and they were able to help me without any issues and it was cheaper!

Just today, at about 4pm, I went to the Canada Post booth at your location to put $150.00 onto my prepaid Visa card.In the past, I had no issues reloading my prepaid Visa through a Canada Post franchise. It’s a straightforward process - request a top-up of anywhere between $25 and $500 plus the fee, present your government ID, and see your deposit posted on your app. It’s a quick transaction, no more than five minutes each time, and your funds are ready instantly.The first red flag here was that I was charged $5.95 for the reload fee. (The reload fee for the prepaid Visa is $3). When I questioned the clerk about the high fee, she softly replied that the fee must have increased. I was skeptical. Canada Post would have told me about the increase ahead of time.I discovered that the money was put into a payment voucher instead of my Visa. As a result, I was unable to pay my bills online.Immediately, I confronted the clerk who was supposed to reload my card. She insisted that she did it correctly. If so, then I would have seen the transaction on my app, a text message and my email.I became angry. All I received from the clerk and two store managers was “calm down”. They didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Nor did they seem to care. Or, admit that their precious clerk made a mistake. This was obvious incompetence and they wouldn’t help me out? Whatever happened to decent customer service? I used to work in that capacity, and the first thing I was told was that the customer was always right.I stormed out.(At another location, a clerk confirmed that the transaction was done incorrectly, but being a Saturday the toll free number was unavailable).I will never go to this Shoppers Drug Mart again, I’d much rather deal with a headache or a bloody finger on my own. If they don’t know how to make a straightforward transaction, then should I trust them with my health?

NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE. I cannot even get the recording to pick up today. Rings until phone cuts off. Frequent complaint. If they cannot handle the calls they should either cap off number of customers or hire more staff. This is supposed to be a professional drug store that cares for patients/customers. Sick customers cannot always go in to the store. Brutal. Wait on line and it loops And cuts you off. I called customer service. Very u professional. What other company cannot answer the phone?

Horrible service.Gary (owner), your customer service is one of the worst I have ever experienced, and what most surprises me is that it happens even while you are there. So it must come from the top.I can't remember how many times I had to wait for my prescription, come back after the requested time, and the prescription still sitting on the desk, unfulfilled.Last time, I came back after the requested wait time, the lady asked me to wait more. Shame on you guys. I got my first prescription and no pharmacist counselled me on my medication. As per the college bylaws, pharmacist must counsel on the medication if the medication is new to patient. Will never come to this pharmacy.When I called the pharmacy to know more about the medication, no one answered my phone call and put me on hold for more than 15 min.

The pharmacy staff do not answer the phone, I have tried for at least 1 hour to get a hold of them and they do not answer the phone. When I order prescription and I go to pickup most of the time it is NOT ready and I have to continue to wait! Awful service!

Pharmacy team is nearly un-reachable. Have to sit on hold for at least 45 minutes every time you need to contact them. When they do answer, they are usually incredibly rude and the same is true in-person. Have tried to fill my prescription for nearly 2 weeks and haven’t been able to get my medication. Ended up just switching to a new location. Do not recommend dealing with prescriptions here. The store itself, on the other hand, is your average Shoppers.
