The coconut rice is like none you have ever had before…absolute must, order 2:)Highly recommend the Kerala Porotta, any dosa, and asking for the chef’s recommendations!

Wonderfully courteous, attentive service. Very kind and patient at explaining unfamiliar dishes and providing recommendations. There are a number of Indian restaurants in Lethbridge but this one is unique in serving dishes from the Kerala province and this is reflected in their spice mixes and taste profile. A great addition to the Lethbridge dining scene and well worth a visit for something unique in the city.

They specialize in Dosa, a giant crepe that can be had with various fillings. Made with rice & lentils, dosa are gluten-free. The mild spice level on curry dishes is quite mild, I recommend getting at least a medium. Prices are reasonable, lots of vegetarian dishes.

Food was delicious. Now we can have scrumptious Dosa in Lethbridge. I have tried chicken keema dosa. Proportion and quality was really good. All non-veg foods are halal in here. Plenty of spaces to arrange your party. This will going to be my next best place to dine in.

Excellent food and service. The stuffed dosa was delicious and crispy. So nice to have a south Indian restaurant with staff from Kerala. The owner was super nice. We loved everything we got and would highly recommend Swad. Found out that Swad means taste in Malayalam. All the best to you and your restaurant. We will be back.

Visited Swad twice this week and I had great food both times. I have never eaten at a south indian restaurant before so I am unfamiliar with some of their dishes. Hopefully this review will help others not familiar with south indian cuisine try their dishes.For starters, we had mixed veggie pakora (really good), samosas (my favorite and I think the best in the city) and vada (crispy and delicious). The samosa came with sambar (lentil soup) and 2 types of chutney, tamarind and mint. I prefer the tamarind chutney as it is sweeter. The vada came with sambar as well as 2 chutney ( a tomato based and coconut based chutney).We ordered butter chicken dosa and it was really good. Dosa resembles a crepe with filling inside. This dish is a hit for my family.We also ordered butter chicken as my daughter loves that dish and we were not disappointed. I find the sauce thicker and flavourful, great for dipping bread and with rice.We also tried Fish Mango Curry (the fish was cooked nicely and the sauce was flavourful) and Beef Coconut Fry (savory and tasty).The flat bread selection they offer are also great. You get 2 pieces per order. Kallappam almost resembles pancakes great for dipping into your dish. My husband and I prefers this, however my daughter likes the Kerala Porotta. It's layered, flaky and crispy flat bread.The service is great. The staff are very friendly and attentive. You can also request your spice levels. We will definitely come back.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a South Indian restaurant called “SWAD” and I must say that it was an exceptional experience. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I knew I was in for a treat.The restaurant exudes a warm and inviting ambiance, with its traditional decor and soft lighting. The seating arrangements were comfortable, allowing for an enjoyable dining experience. The cultural essence of South India was beautifully reflected in the surroundings, transporting me to the vibrant streets of Kerala.The menu offered an extensive range of South Indian dishes. Thank you so much Mr. Sanal for your initiative.

Food was so good and a lot. Restaurant is clean and cozy. Staffs are friendly. Best Indian restaurant for me. I will visit again.
