I like a few other reviews would give them a minus 5. I also noticed they blamed everyone and everything else for the problems we experienced. From a ridiculous amount of time they said the doors would be ready ( blamed the manufacturer) to the installation which they said would be 2 days for 22 doors (took a week and not all at once). Our build is in Bobcaygeon and they sent the team of 2 to install them all in one long day then travel back to St Catherine’s and come back next day. 7 hour return trip 2 guys. Ever heard of a hotel? The most disorganized senior staff I have ever ever dealt with. Never returned a call. I used the installers phone to reach them as they wouldn’t answer when I called. I liked their installers but they weren’t the problem. Was the worst experience of any of the many contractors and subs we dealt with during our new build. I finally got things resolved with the owner Hans after many unanswered emails and phone calls. His sales/ service manager Paul was worse.They blamed Covid for the manufacturing delays ( valid) but that was only a few weeks. I confirmed that with their competitor.I also found out that it wasn’t the delay by the manufacturer, my completed doors were sitting in their ( helts) warehouse in Germany as they couldn’t get a shipping container. Wrong doors were shipped wrong frames etc etc. Takes forever to replace items as coming from Germany.My last straw was to threaten legal action which seemed to light a fire under the owner Hans. Project finally finished a month ago ( 1 year and half! )I should have used their competitor Neufenster ( sell same doors and where we bought our excellent windows ). I thought I’d split vendor as their pricing was marginally better.I’m sure the response to my review will be to deny and blame everyone but themselves, only those that dealt with them and got the same service I did would agreeI. I saved all the emails and documents so I’m very comfortable with my review.

We are currently having HELT install our commercial windows and 211 Scott St. in St. Catharines. The installers are friendly and knowledgeable. Hans and Paul have been amazing, even working on the holiday to accommodate my tenants. The service and communication has been phenomenal. I highly recommend HELT for high quality German window and door products and excellent service. You will not be disappointed.

If I could I'd give -5 here. I had Hans install windows and doors in my new home here in Ontario in spring 2018. Unfortunately the windows and doors of this place did not even sustain one winter and despite of Hans claiming they were top of the class, they were leaking causing temperature loss and increased hydro bills. Hans was not willing to resolve my claim and/or compensate me for his embarrassing work. Instead he suggested I should go and try my luck finding someone better". Be warned about getting any service offer from HELT. Avoid the trouble and seek assistance from a professional place."

We ordered window screens for our home. When we placed the order and gave the deposit we were told it would be 3 months. It ended up taking 6 months to get the screens. When the screens FINALLY arrived we were sent a final invoice, which we paid. We then received a request for more money. There was a miscommunication with my husband where I thought the final bill had not been paid in full so I sent them the additional funds. It turns out that we had overpaid and when I asked to have the money refunded they refused. They claimed that they had sent the wrong amount on the final invoice. This company is either poorly organized in the accounts department or incredibly shady in their business dealings. If you can, go elsewhere!
