Full of history, too much to write in a Google Map review however, do yourself a favour and read up on the steep history of the island. Today, not much remains on the island, outside of a Canadian Coast Guard lighthouse and a few WWII tattered bunkers and remnants. Locals still cross the breakwater and each year you can bet someone gets hurt and becomes stranded.

This place is a right of passage for Saint John teenagers.We get drunk and take acid and hike over the rock bridge.We spend the night it’s haunted as the bodies of everyone from quarantine in the before times are here that died of cholloria from Ireland from the ships when the settlers came.The ground is mass Burual sites and there are evenjail cells in the caticombesVery fun place but closed to the publicIf u get caught coming here coast guard just brings u back to the mainland and sends u on ur way

Tours of the island have just been recently allowed and I took part in one today. This land mark is a must see if your able to make the crossing via a Kayak. There are so many amazing things to see and you get the Ghost Town feeling while exploring. The view of the city is really cool from the bay as its a whole different perspective. Highly recommended if your in the area!
