Highly recommended. Was extremely hard for me to find the vet I could trust and speak the same language to.Staff is great, attentive. Followups are done in a few ways - phone, email. They gave my dog another year of life, and eventually when I had to put him down, I got a really sweet card in the mail, which contained personal messages from doctors and techs.Recommended this clinic to all my friends, and if I'd stay in Vancouver, would have been the only place I went.

By far the best experience I have ever had with a veterinary team, Fantastic and caring people, All staff were wonderful and special thanks to front desk staff ,vet support team and to Dr Sireni for his detailed explanation about the treatment for my dog and thanks for caring and making her well. I highly recommend them!

We had the most caring and compassionate experience at the clinic. Our 13Y old dog was in pain and we wanted to be with him in his last day and last hours. They made it possible for our family to be with him and hold him and supported us along the way. It was very hard for us and they allowed the time needed and I cant say enough nice words about the staff and clinic. Thank you for being there and doing such outstanding caring work for the community.

Absolutely the best vet I have ever been to. Dr Hayk had a wonderful candor with my cat, very warm and even gave her a nickname. He spent a good amount of time with us and I never felt rushed at any point. He also gave me a lot of information without judgement and without pushing certain products or extra tests. Their exam is double the price of other places on the north shore ($70) and even though I am lower income I definitely thought it was well worth it. The other staff were very warm and friendly and gave extra free samples when a product I wanted to buy was out of stock. All in all it was wonderful visit and their standard of care is very high. I will definitely recommend Highlands Animal Hospital to anyone needing vet services.

Dr. Mary Darabi is such a fantastic vet. I trust that my cat is in the best hands at her care. She not only cares so deeply about animals, but I can tell that she also cares about me as a young owner of a chronically ill rescue cat. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Our dog Mika is a Shiba Inu—a breed which is well-known to be stubborn and difficult, especially when it comes to being handled! We'd had very bad experiences at other vets (which were not fear-free). These visits left Mika extremely fearful and suspicious of vets and veterinary clinics. After having one too many stressful vet visits, we decided it was time to switch vets and find one that was fear-free. I called around and found that many vets are either not aware of fear-free techniques or aren't accepting patients. Fortunately for us, Highlands is not only a fear-free clinic, but they were also accepting new patients! From the first phone call with Carla, we were met with nothing but the utmost of patience, caring and warmth. Carla took her time listening to my concerns about our anxious little Mika and explained to me how their clinic worked and what we'd need in order to get Mika in for a dental cleaning under sedation. (It was recommended by our previous vet that we get a cleaning done ASAP.)Things only got better with our in-person visits. We started with quick happy visits" to get Mika used to the clinic. During these visits

I was walking out with my baby and cat when the receptionist kindly offered to help me to my car as my hands were full. Great service, and lovely staff. Glad we chose VCA!

Staff are great and give you all the information you need to make an informed decision about your pet. I don't feel pressured to pay for unnecessary tests or treatments and they always give me options on how to proceed with any issues that come up.

I actually don’t trust this vet. There’s a lot of negative guilt being pushed on clients. And I don’t trust her prognosis or diagnosis. Including when I brought my cat in and they gave flea medication. My cats don’t have fleas. And I was told the second cat would also need to be brought in. They are twin brothers. They’re the same size. But I was told that the medication depends on their weight until the second cat should be brought in. Later the assistant told me there’s just two sizes of medication and you don’t need to bring the cat in but the vet was telling me I should. I don’t trust her at all

There is nothing better than meeting people who really care about your pet. We had the opportunity to bring our pet for the first time in Canada to VCA. The doctors were amazing, very attentive and investigated all possible causes for our pets symptoms. The nurses and staff were very helpful and kind.Sincerely recommend!
