You need not look any further for great food and service! WHAT A EXPERIENCE The food is delicious and the owners are lovely. Authentic dishes and presentation is spot on. The price point was a shock. Two of us ate for $22Is it weird to go for 2 meals/day for the rest of my life?Sorry about my picture we started eating before I remembered to take it :)

If you're craving for Ethiopian food, look no further - Habesha is the place to go. It is by far one of the best Ethiopian restaurant in Winnipeg by a long shot. From delicious food to the service to the ambiance, every single thing is just amazing. The owner 'Mimi' is super talented when it comes to cooking Ethiopian goodies, she has an angelic heart and my goodness a very positive aura around her. You won't be disappointed, highly recommend!! A must try place if you've never experienced Ethiopian cuisines.

I had Ethiopian food once as a wee lass in Ottawa, and I have since thought much about that delicious cuisine. I could not ask my mother, for I could not remember the specifics of the dish, only the memory of the deliciousness remained. How pleased was I to be presented here with this delicious food again, reunited in Winnipeg of all places. It was even better than I remembered. Some vegetarian options, great music, and our server Mimi was a gem. Thank you thank you.

THIS IS A MUST TRY!!It was our first visit to Habesha. A coworker recommended the restaurant to us. The ambience was clean and inviting.We were nicely greeted and seated promptly. We were celebrating a Birthday.We placed our order, which takes longer than your usual restaurant. (We were prepared, the person that made the recommendation said it might take a while) The wait was about 40 minutes, but I have to tell you, it's worth the wait. Good things seldom come fast.We ordered the Vegetable platter, Cha Cha, Beef tips, Vegetable Samosa. Doro Wat (Traditional Christmas Dish).All of it was.. AMAZING!! Good portions. And it was fresh.Mimi the owner was very friendly, she checked on us a few times, shared her story and said that today was their Christmas. (I learned something new today) We look forward to coming back to try the coffee. We were so full, we didn't have the room. But it seemed that everyone was ordering it.Great Job Mimi and Habesha, See you again!

Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant
My friend and myself tried this restaurant for the first time a few days ago. The owner was very kind and informative about the menu, as we love to try new foods. We had 2 of the platters, which came with a variety of different meat/vegetable dishes. The portions were big and everything was so good! Will definitely be coming back again.

Habesha has become my favorite place to get takeout after a long day. Their food is delicious, the portions are generous, and everything is reasonably priced. I highly recommend their veggie platter in particular!

Habesha Ethiopian Restaurant
Tried Habesha for the first time last night. Really enjoyed this little spot and will be back! Friendly service, good food, and great prices. The veggie and meat sharing platter (pictured) was plenty for 2 people and has so many different flavours on one plate. The injera was perfect and I loved the little salad included on the side for some brightness and crunch. Thank you Habesha!

Hands down the best Ethiopian food in Winnipeg. The small menu allows Habesha to focus on making each of their menu items incredibly flavourful. Really enjoyed the Tibs and Kitfo. Will be coming back and ordering online.
