One of the Family Pet Care Centre

We have been using One of the Family Pet Care Service for over 15 years. Our experience up until this past weekend (Thanksgiving 2019) has always been good. We visited our daughter in Cochrane AB, when getting ready to leave we discovered a flat tire. We spent 2 hrs at a repair shop therefore delaying our time for pickup of our dogs. We were told at time of drop off that if there were unforeseen issues or delays to keep them updated and that there were would be no problem picking the up later. We kept in contact so that they knew when we would be arriving. Upon arrival for pickup we were lectured about how we totally messed up their schedule and that because we were late we would have to pay another full day for being 2 hours late. And on top of it they never even fed our dogs when they knew we were going to be late. We picked the dogs up at 7pm and they tell us they didn’t feed them because they didn't want them to have food in their bellies to travel, when clearly they should have been fed at the regular time when they were advised well in advance that we were going to be 2 hours late. So they didn’t feed them for what reason? We felt that our business and our pets were not valued by them. We will be choosing a different kennel for our future pet boarding needs.
