I have been going to the clinic since last fall. My daughter recommended it to me after she was successfully treated for a sore shoulder. I have had lower back & mobility issues for many years from spinal stenosis. I tried another acupuncturist with no success so I was very leery about trying it again. However, I am very happy with his treatments and would highly recommend it to anyone. He has also just started treating my thumb OA so I am hopeful that it will help. It does take time and patience but very worth it in the end.

The clinic location, staff professionalism, interior set-up, and overall efficiency is excellent. Dr. Shen clearly has a deep knowledge of the human body and is thoughtful when considering the aspects contributing to (in my case) chronic pain from a lower back injury (disc herniation at the root of it). I had been stuck in my recovery and the advice and acupuncture sessions from Dr. Shen allowed me to clearly recover to a new level over an 8 week period. Someone mentioned to try acupuncture, so I looked around for the place.Fortunately, Minda Acupuncture Clinic is close by and had good reviews as well. I called the clinic and spoke with Dr. Shen, and he setup appointments within that week. He is kindest person I ever met.After the 2 treatments, the pain reduced right away, I was comfortable sitting and sleeping.Dr. Shen runs the clinic efficiently, the rooms are clean , the place is quiet, free parking and bus service is close by.My wife had the same sciatica issue, so both went there together and he could accommodate both doing treatment the same time.Many thanks to Dr. Shen, I would not hesitate to recommend the Minda Clinic to anyone looking for pain relieve.

My girlfriend recommended Minda after a minor back injury and I have to say, what a great experience! I work a physical job, not giving my body the rest it needs because it's very difficult for me to relax, but Dr Shen made it happen for me. He is friendly, gentle and attentive. I have a partial ACL tear on my left knee, a childhood injury, which flared up recently due to some martial arts lessons that I was taking. I tried physiotherapy for about a year with little to no improvement. When the pain started getting worse, I contacted Dr. Shen for Acupuncture treatment. I have not looked back since.The treatment is very effective. Just after 2 sessions the pain, sensitivity and the swelling reduced. The ambiance is extremely relaxing to the point where I sometimes doze off and wake up 45 mins later, completely relaxed.I highly recommend Dr. Shen's acupuncture treatment for anyone, especially those who haven't had much luck using other forms of therapy or medicine.

My naturopath recommended that I try acupuncture for the first time to help alleviate some chronic sinus issues that I had been dealing with. My experience with Dr.Shen was fantastic! The environment is very relaxing and soothing. I looked forward to my appointments for some much needed relaxation! I was only able to visit for 6 sessions as I've now left the country for 6 months. I will absolutely be re-visiting when I'm back in Ottawa.
