Streetscape Homes

Streetscape built 2 houses for us (a bungalow and a 2-story). The service was excellent and has stood the test of time. We have been in the 2nd house 12 years and the few minor issues at the start were promptly fixed by Streetscape. I would highly recommend working with Yvonne and this group!

I am reasonably satisfied with my home purchase through Streetscape Developments. They have a great product and good workmanship so the new home was completed on time and with very few deficiencies. Post-possession warranty and customer service has also been commendable.Streetscape loses marks in their review because of some practices in their head office. The sales team would not provide me with any references to confirm the quality of their work, nor did they let me review the contract with a lawyer before signing. I only followed through with the purchase because I am a terrible consumer and they had the right home for me in the right location. If those policies were changed, I would easily rate them with a higher score.

Streetscape recently finished our basement and we're very happy with the results and the process. We went with them as they had previously built our home and we were equally happy with how that went. Yvan at streetscape is really easy to work with and happy to make changes and customizations to meet your needs. The other thing we've loved about working with streetscape is that they consistently prioritize quality, and it's apparent in the end result.

We have been in our Streetscape home for over a year now. They have been excellent from the beginning. We got a home inspection even though it was a brand new home and the inspector noted that it was the best new home he had inspected in a long time.Our experiences with the warranty was good. Because of the build quality there were few issues that needed addressing but when issues did need to be addressed Streetscape always tried to make it right and made sure that I was satisfied with the work.Streetscape was the only big builder in the city that I encountered that made an effort on energy performance. They focus on keeping the air changes per hour in the house low and were the only big builder I encountered that could answer questions on that issue (a house with lower air changes per hour is more comfortable, less drafty and cheaper to heat and cool). They also put more insulation in the roof than was required by code and used an insulated rim board. All light fixtures are LED and low flow faucets, showerheads and toilets were included. The result for us has been a house that costs a less money to heat, cool, and live in than a typical new home.The design of our home is simple and practical and they use good quality products.Anytime I have needed information about the home they have provided it. We just took possession of our new Streetscape home in Brighton and couldn’t be happier with our experience so far. Streetscape’s attention to detail and commitment to quality is evident throughout the house, our home inspector even pointed out a number of things they saw that are above and beyond what they typically see in new builds. During our pre-possession walk-through Marv showed us they proactively moved the furnace and water heater closer to the wall in the basement because they realized their contractor had misplaced them, and our future plans for our basement would not have had the minimal utility space they envision. This is something we would not have realized until a few years down the road when we go to finish the basement. Before we even got possession, Streetscape noticed this and fixed it.Streetscape used high quality finishings throughout the house and obviously put a lot of thought into the design.Marv and Yvan respond quickly and thoughtfully to all our questions and have been a pleasure to work with.

My wife and I first reached out to Streetscape almost a year ago, February 2019. We had some ambitious plans for a custom home and had heard good things about them. We took possession almost a month ago and I'm writing this to tell you that we have 0 regrets.Streetscape was an absolute pleasure to work with, from beginning to end. Yvan worked with us the entire time and we always walked away impressed. He was very friendly, personable, and knew what he was talking about. In the beginning, he was very receptive to our plans and offered many great ideas on how to improve them. He identified many small tweaks or adjustments we could make that worked better for the house and actually saved money by making the layout cheaper to build. He was very receptive to our requests for features above and beyond a regular build (spray foam, re-circulation lines, solar panels, etc.). Streetscape did a great job communicating our wants to all of their vendors, so selections went very smoothly. If there was ever a discrepancy, Streetscape would always come to bat for us and make sure it was resolved. With a build as large as a house, there are going to be minor deficiencies, and we found that Streetscape always handled them quickly and professionally. We always felt that our happiness with the end result was their top priority!Nothing demonstrates this more than the timeline of the project. We spent many months together in the design phase, making sure every little detail was right and that everything was in order before any shovels hit the dirt. Streetscape gave us a perfectly reasonable timeline for a March or April move in... and then we found out we were expecting! Once we let Yvan know our due date of March 1st, I noticed he wrote it down and underlined it twice. Afterwards, if he ever saw an opportunity to accelerate the project by a day here or a week there, he made sure it happened. Then over the Christmas holiday he updated us with our possession date: January 31st! This gave us plenty of time to move in and get settled before baby's arrival!All of that happened without any sacrifice in quality. Everyone Streetscape works with does fantastic work. Our mechanical room looks like a work of art with how well it's put together. All our flooring and finishing work is pristine. Yvan himself did quite a few last-minute tweaks to make sure everything noted on our walkthrough was taken care of. We're getting nothing but compliments from family, friends, and total strangers!We couldn't be happier with our choice to go with Streetscape. I hope you choose them too; you'll be in great hands!

Excellent customer service and post-possession support. We were only able to come up with 1 or 2 minor issues when our home warranty inspections came up, and actually skipped the 6 month one since nothing needed work. Robin in the quality assurance department is excellent and very polite. He's taken the time to answer our silly first-time home-owner questions and is both very knowledgeable and even more picky about quality than us!
