Nelson Park
The green beating heart of the local community and a place where families - especially dog owners & their furry companions can gather - a near non-stop procession of cute doggies and their humans can be seen walking in and out of the park at all times of the day. Avid dog watchers like myself should grab a bench and have a relaxing visual feast, best time is early in the morning before work.Part of Nelson Park IS a dog park, at its Comox and Bute corner, which partly explains its popularity with dog owners. It’s also one of the few public places in Vancouver with those free self cleaning toilet booths and one of the few places in the city with a public toilet period. Unfortunately, the toilet is out of order fairly often.

Nelson Park
Very quiet little gem just behind St Paul's hospital. Nice place to just sit back and forget about the hustle and bustle of Vancouver. Nice chill vibe, good place to enjoy your edibles or even sneak a beer

Nelson Park is a very large green space with a fenced in dog park, a section set aside for gardening, an interesting project with the Parks Board and the local community, sharing of space with Lord Roberts Annex School and a very fruitful environment and community park area with many benches for relaxation and green spaces for all who visit the park…

Nelson Park
A large park in the centre of the west end. Located in the heart of the beautiful West End, Nelson Park offers lawns and seating areas that are enjoyed by all.Nelson Park was redeveloped in 2007 after a three-year consultation period with the community. The redeveloped park features new entryways, an elegant pathway system, seating plaza, metal arbours and a restful water feature. The off-leash dog area on the park's west side is enclosed with decorative metal fencing.During redevelopment, the Park Board retained, amended and reused the soil in the park. Granite removed from the old, dismantled park field house was used to as a base for the new water feature.

I am so lucky to have this park accross the street from my place. Nice place to relax. Very comfortable environment. People do so many awesome thing's here. It's a great place to hug a tree and energise. I get to watch all the season's of the year pass through in a timelapsed motion.

Nelson Park
Very pet-friendly park. Me and my cat like to visit, or watch the activities from our apartment window. The edible garden is a treasure for the community. We love Nelson Park.

Nelson Park
It's a clean park. It's fairly small and it's always very busy. My big negative is that although there is a fenced-in off-leash dog park there is ALWAYS off-leash uncontrolled dogs in the middle of the park. There's also a playground with lots of small children and it's surrounded on four sides by busy roads so it's a very over-stimulating park.

Nelson Park
Lots of benches, a community garden, a small water feature, a toddler playground, and a fenced dog park makes for a good city park and greenspace. It’s disappointing to see so much dog poo left behind by bad pet parents. Stay on the paths and watch where you’re walking. Sheesh!

Nice open space in the downtown jungle of buildings. There are trees around the park and nice paths through the field. There are benches throughout. There is a designated dog park at the Bute Street side. It was quite busy with dogs and owners.
